Horgoru the Collector is the new Lich King

It seems that Horgoru's 'goodbye' dialogue has been replaced with the Lich King's lines from the Death Knight starter zone. It's a little disturbing to have a giant ask you to conquer the world in his name after you've finished selling him some Sickly Fishes. Come on, dude. They were worth like, 4 silver. That's not 'pledge undying allegiance and join a new world order' stuff there. I'll conquer in the name of someone much more worthy, thank you.

And I thought my WoW was spacing out when I heard that.
Now I am running the repair tool for nothing.
Umrtvovacz May 10th 2009 10:29AM
Never, EVER, use that repair tool provided by blizzard, it just faks up your World of Warcraft so you need to reinstal. It found me ten tons of errors on a CLEAR INSTALL of the game. Never use it.

Amusing! When I have the free time, I should go check him out to see if it's been fixed. If not... maybe some comic fodder?

There was a similar glitch in Fable II. A little girl in the tournament had essentially a demon's voice. At least I hope it was a glitch...
I may have to go check this out soon.

The girl in the Fable 2 arena is supposed to have a deep demon voice. She was possessed by a demon after all =\

Oh man that's bloody funny.

I think it's Arthas in a disguise.
Stormsinger May 9th 2009 3:13PM
Arthas, not unlike Elvis, is everywhere.

He's been in Dalaran, for sure, because I fished up one of his coins last week.

Next time I have to name a guild, it's definitely going to reference this not-so-little goof. It'll be like an inside joke!

That was laugh out loud funny. I told my wife and she fell asleep on me. Oh well, I got a great chuckle from it.

My favourite bug that has yet to be fixed is that the reagent male orc vendor in the Caverns of Time has a *female* orc voice. Not nearly as entertaining as Horgoru's bit going on there, but still...been doing that for as long as I remember before WotLK even came out.
I think I should make a note of it on the forums, provided I don't get laughed out. Nevertheless, the fact remains: it honestly throws me off every time I talk to that NPC if I'm about to run CoT: CoS and need to pick a little something up if I'm running low on reagents.
Ademys May 9th 2009 1:44PM
Actually its supposed to sound like a female, I remember reading discussion with some npc there and they said that the timeline changed their gender or something.
Sothe May 9th 2009 1:47PM
Well actually that one is NOT a glitch.
Before they removed the flavor text he said something like "Traveling through time messes with your body more then you think." (Not exact quotes but close...ish).
Basically he was saying that traveling through time (As I THINK he is just a normal Orc not a dragon) Messed with his voice and now he sounds like a girl.

"No, you aren't hearing things. I actually do have the voice of a young orc woman. But you listen here, -gender-, time travel does strange things to a body.
By the way, it's 250 years."
His name is Bortega for those interested in knowing. Blizzard removed "Flavour Text" from many Vendors some time ago so a lot of these dialogues aren't accessible anymore :(

I'm very surprised I never noticed any explanation regarding the awkwardness. Oh well, good to know that it holds true that you learn something new every day. Thank ya kindly for enlightening me. =)

They removed flavor text because apparently moving the mouse an inch and spending half a second making one extra click before selling your grey trash was too hard for some folks.

Come on, dude. They were worth like, 4 silver. That's not 'pledge undying allegiance and join a new world order' stuff there.
Hilarious! Nice find, made me chuckle before nap time..

Haha, just made the trip there to check this guy out; awesome
