The Daily Quest: Post Mother's Day Quests

There's really no reason that the above photo needed to be included in today's Daily Quest, other than the sheer awesomeness that was SNL last weekend.
- Honor's Code has a good story about how that little extra push helped down Vezax. A good read for those working on him, or thinking about working on him.
- Twisted Nether Blogcast is having a t-shirt design contest for their trip to BlizzCon. Win a 60-day game card!
- Too Many Annas asks: are your problems healer caused?
- Does your mother play a Shaman? If so, she will love Lodur's Restoration Shaman - Best in Slot for Patch 3.1.
- Shields Up! takes a look at the loot council distribution method.

Then you must not have watched it for the last 4-5 years

Adam's ranking of SNL epochs:
1. Belushi/Ackroyd/Murray
2. Hartman/Farley/Spade
3. Ferrell
4. Fey/Fallon
Last night's episode was a rare good one imo, ranking up there with stuff will Ferrell did. Coincidentally he hosts this upcoming Saturday with Green Day. Will probably watch that from start to finish as well.

The last 4 to 5 years has produced little else than some second-rate comedians, and it really is unfortunate to see such bad writing and acting ruin what was once a beacon for American comedic writing and performance.
Tina Fey is the last vestige of a now "not-so-great" show that has since given way to Nickelodeon graduates and produces such sophomoric skits that only those who get to "stay up" to watch will find funny. It's a show where someone like Justin Timberlake can ACUTALLY GET A GIG.
Saturday Night Live died the day Will Ferrel left the cast.
I can only hope that Lorne Michaels can find the right mix of writers and actors to resuscitate a show that has been on life support for far too long.

Ugh. That Too Many Annas post would be great if it weren't for that remark about how Resto Shamans shouldn't stack crit.
If that were the case, so many of our talents wouldn't be crit-boosting or crit-dependent. DON'T LISTEN TO ANNA ON THAT ONE, FOLKS. That's just wrong, wrong, wrong.

With the picture and the title being 'Post Mother's Day Quests'...
Are you telling me I should get my Mom a Di** in a Box for Mother's Day?

/sigh Loot Council.
I have been running with a group for about 3 months now, when I joined they were blazing through Naxx 25. For the past couple of weeks, we have been attempting Ulduar. Some success there, however we haven't gotten more than 3 bosses down. Last night I became a bit discouraged. I respect loot council. I understand that the majority of that group is a guild and I am a guest. However, when a particularly nice off-hand dropped and I showed interest it was given to someone who was on their very first run with the group. I am not a loot hound. I like nice shiny gear, but it isn't my sole purpose for playing. However this event has me a bit puzzled. Granted, I do not know the whole story - this newcomer may have been a girlfriend, brother, cousin, etc. or there may have been something pre-arranged. All I know is, I have been with this group for a while, getting an odd piece of gear here and there that no one else wanted. I was fine with that, but when is it going to be *my* turn? lol Sorry for the rant, this was fresh on my mind when I saw that article on loot council.
[TLDR : miffed at loot council distribution]
