It's like tier bonuses. Blizzard has said they think it's a good thing to design tier bonuses so you have to make decisions. Do I keep wearing two pieces of T7 for that bonus, or do I replace with the Ulduar drop I just got? Which pieces would be the most worthwhile to wear instead? GC has said they plan for and develop this meta-game, forcing players to choose bonuses from what may otherwise be less than optimal equipment.
I fail to see the difference.
There are stealth bonuses, are there not, just as there are stealth detection bonuses?
To say +detection neutralizes a rogue is like saying frost resist gear neutralizes a frost mage. Both are absolutely TRUE, but one is acceptable to the dev team suddenly and one is not. What is the difference?
