BlizzCon Pro Tip: Setup your Battle.net account now

You want to enter the queue to purchase them tomorrow?
You've heard the horror stories about how it all went haywire last year?
Well, here's the pro tip of all pro tips, even better than Turpster's Tips: make your Battle.net account now and make sure your credit card / check card has enough money to cover the $125 cost of the ticket.
While Blizzard has done a lot to make sure that the system will be smoother than last year, if you've already bought a plane ticket out to LA and have the hotels booked, etc., you'll want to be 100% sure you do everything you can do get these elusive tickets easily.
The whole process takes just a couple of minutes, and you don't have to tie your World of Warcraft account to the Battle.net account unless you want to. They can remain entirely separate. Head over to the Battle.net account creation page and do this now!

Unfortunately if you are outside of the USA, battle.net/wow account merging is STILL not available.

If you are outside of the US, why would you spend that much money just to go to Blizzcon?

A few questions:
First, I have the Battlenet set up, CC registered, BUT I do not wish to merge my WOW account with my Battlenet. Is that a problem?
Second, I know the start of Ticket sales us nebulous, but has Blizz clarified when we can log on to our account, when your place in line is established, yada yada yada?

How will it work for people who want to buy only the online stream? Do you need to buy tickets in addition to that, or can you order the stream only?
I would really like to see most of the show + the goodie bag but can't really afford to get tickets and fly cross country.
Does anyone know how this will work?

Tomorrows tickets are only for the actual tickets, to walk into the door of Blizzon in August.
The Direct TV online stream will probably just be an online version of the Televised Direct TV stream, and wont be sorted until closer to the time.
Blizzard kinda screwed the rest of the world over last year by stream the WWI worldwide, but only having Direct TV customers get the TV stream, so its a good thing this year.
The Direct Tv internet ot TV feeds dont give any goodie bag, but i think you get the Murloc Marine Pet.

I believe that the online streaming deal is through DirecTV, which probably won't go on sale until it is closer to Blizzcon.

not sure it better than Turpster's Tips, but it's ok...

Can anyone explain why Blizzard is not giving us the exact time when the tickets are going on sale?
Is this info so Top Secret that they can't provide it to us even this close to the sale date?

i'll do it later...

Interestingly I can’t seem to load the screen to retrieve my password.

Pro-tip: Remove your authenticator from your account. How much do you want to bet their POS authenticator server goes down? Just add it back after you're celebrating and booking your hotel.

Blizzcon website has a posting from today: "After our gnomish engineers here in Southern California get to work and finish making the final preparations late Saturday morning, they’ll activate the ticket-purchase process and BlizzCon tickets will officially go on sale."
Which I hope doesn't mean that they are still having issues. I can only imagine how many people are going to be pinging the blizzcon website trying to see when tickets go on sale. Thus crashing the servers so no the "Gnomish Engineers" can't finish and preventing us from buying tickets.

With Blizzcon tickets harder to get than Thori'dal (), I think most people will hold off on making travel plans until they have their Blizzcon tickets in their hot electronic hands.
Add to that the fact that it's FRIDAY AFTERNOON and Blizzard hasn't announced an on-sale time for the tickets, and it's looking like another Blizzcon Ticket Fiasco in the making.
And I don't even *want* a stoopid ticket! I just want the goodie bag!
