This isn't even a real patch and they nerf warlocks. Granted, I haven't been playing affliction lately, so my doomguard stays in the chaotic ether somewhere.
What really gets me is that warlocks still are somehow on Blizzard's hit list. Off the top of your head, name a warlock buff in the past two years. Can't name one? Neither can I.
This gives me the distinct impression that Blizzard is moving in a new direction with warlocks. After all, we have mages for spell dps. I think they have one of the following in mind:
1- Warlocks become the first bandage-based healing class.
2- Soulshatter is removed, along with the aggro-decreasing talents. All warlock spells are given the same aggro multiplier as tank abilities, creating the first cloth-clad tanks.
The homogenization of the classes has hit warlocks particularly hard because they were unique. That and we're still paying the price of being OP in Burning Crusade. In the good old days, we had minions to tank and dps, and were a hearty cloth class with lots of health who had some nice self-heal abilities. On top of that, we could dps with the best of them. Now we've been slowly reduced to second-rate mages who get an extra vanity pet.
We'll give up our evil ways, Blizzard! Now can we gnome warlocks get some love?
Meh, who am I kidding? We're warlocks. We're evil.
