BlizzCon ticket status

1:28 p.m. EDT: Sold out until May 30th. I'd really love to know how many tickets they released. We had people on staff in position 5000 in the queue not get a ticket.
Older updates after the break.
BlizzCon 2009 is coming up on August 21st and 22nd! We've got all the latest news and information. At BlizzCon you can play the latest games, meet your guildmates, and ask the developers your questions. Plus, there's some great looking costumes.1:18 p.m. EDT: Queue is now over 21,000. 43% of the tickets are left for today.
1:12 p.m. EDT: Half the tickets are gone for today. Good luck to the ~20,000 of you in the queue!
1:10 p.m. EDT: Queue is now over 17,000. People are getting tickets, however.
1:09 p.m. EDT: It appears that the ticket queue is based on cookies, so if you leave it and rejoin you'll end up back in your original position. Do not try this though unless you're insane.
1:02 p.m. EDT: Queue is now over 12,000.
1:00 p.m. EDT: Tickets are on sale. Matticus is in position 840 after placing an order seconds after the order site allowed him to.
12:47 p.m. EDT: DirecTV and Web Streaming are not purchasable at this time. Nethaera posted as much in the forums a bit ago.
12:42 p.m. EDT: BlizzCon Store ticket page is located at http://www.blizzard.com/store/blizzcon09-tickets.xml
12:30 p.m. EDT: Half hour until BlizzCon tickets go on sale. Blizzard has taken down the armory to lighten server load, so it appears they're being proactive about things. This is good!
We'll post any news we get on the ticket selling here, including communication from blues via the forums or through other mediums. You can always find this post via the big banner at the top of WoW Insider that says "Click here for the latest ticket status."

Don't worry if you didn't click the amount of tickets you wanted at 1st, you can always change the amount before you check out :)

Jorelos May 16th 2009 1:13PM
For anyone else interested in figuring out the queue lengths, you have to leave the queue page (just going back to the page where you select the number of tickets works) and then clear cookies or it will put you right back where you were in the queue. It's a neat trick on Blizz's part to prevent crashes and whatnot from wiping out your time alread spent in line.
Fleewood May 16th 2009 1:13PM
I wonder how many of the folks buying their full allotment are actually buying for friends and family. Have you seen eBay the week after Blizzcon?
jfofla May 16th 2009 1:13PM
12 minutes into the sale and half the tickets are gone. I am 14 minutes away from my place in queue. This is going to be tight.
Matazuma May 16th 2009 1:22PM
Yeah i know what you mean Im getting nervous now :X
Kurojushi May 16th 2009 1:14PM
I got my tickets without even entering the Queue. I was able to start buying at about 9:58 on my computer clock, and it was basically effortless. I found that logging into my Battle.net account beforehand made it easier, because I didn't have to log into the buy the tickets, as I was already logged in. I wish the rest of you guys luck in getting past the queue, and if not, try what I did for the May 30th wave.
Bloodstriker May 16th 2009 1:15PM
