Boom goes the servers...

....the night before BlizzCon ticket sales.Yes folks. You should be completely confident in Blizzard. I mean, the night before how many tens of thousands of people from around the world try to order tickets, the authentication servers go down. Many users are experiencing it, however a few are not.
What on Earth could go wrong tomorrow?
Reythur, a Blizzard blue poster, has said that the issue is being investigated. We'll update this post with more information as we get it.
Update #4: Things are working now it appears for all Battle.net accounts and all regular accounts.
Update: Reythur has confirmed the authentication servers are experiencing problems, but there is no ETA on things being fixed.
Update #2: There are some people for which things have been fixed, and others for which things are still broke. This is evident on the official forums, however nothing more from the blues.
Update #3: It appears that the authentication servers are only down for those who have not migrated to Battle.net.... there's no official confirmation of this, but we can confirm on staff there is a brightline here.

Lol. Thank God I live on the other side of the world from Anneheim. That way I'm not tempted to shell out another $125 for a video game [convention].

You and me both! You'd think they'd have the Blizzard website & the game servers seperate though wouldn't you? Silly Blizzard... can't teach an old dog new tricks.
And I think I'd be dreaming to think Blizzcon is ever going to hit the shores of Australia in any capacity...

I had just taken my Shaman into a good Naxx group. They needed heals, and I was in there with my Warlock. I offered to take Shaman in because I want to get her geared.
I'm not even in there for ONE BOSS when I get booted and then can't log in again. Now I'm listening over vent as they're planning on calling the run because other people have been DCed too.
If I get saved to this run and then they call it? GG Blizz. You just screwed up my week.

@ Cyanea - If your whole week was screwed up by a video game, maybe it's time to seriously re-evaluate your life. If your whole week was literally RUINED by pixels, then all I can say is that I feel sorry for you and your pathetic life. I fail to understand why people take this game so damn seriously. OMG I didn't get epic gearz, meh week is ruined!

I'm sorry. I forgot that I need to illustrate things clearly and completely to people on Wowinsider.
I mean that my entire week INGAME was cancelled. My plan was to gear up my Shaman this week in a friend's guild's 25-man.
But go ahead and continue to judge me if that's what makes your epeen bigger.

@ Noctiluca - You're commenting on the topic game's _fan_ website. I like WoW too. If I had planned to do Naxxramas with my guild [as in scheduled it] one day and the server was down that entire day and I had no way to contact the guidies, suffice it to say that the guild's week would've been ruined. Also, if WoW were to go offline for the rest of the weekend - Don't even pretend you wouldn't be a bit bored eventually.

@ Noctiluca -obvious trolls are obvious. of course he/she didnt mean their entire week was ruined by a game, but his/her week in game may have. nothing is more frustrating than being saved to an instance for a BS reason, then having to wait til the following week to even TRY to get a piece of gear you want. Noct, you fail at life, just end your wow account, you obviously think too highly of yourself to associate with this community.

I could have been listening to some crappy band play music. Instead I came home to farm some outland faction rep only to find the servers down. Thank you Blizzard!! Now I can catch up on some much needed sewing. /sarcasm
