...is now recruiting
I've been reading the comments from some of our recent posts and realized that there is quite a bit of mismatch between players and guilds. There are casual players in hardcore guilds that find themselves being passed over in content. There are hardcore players in casual guilds that don't get to move on to things they want. Some players need a higher level of maturity. There are usually a handful of guilds recruiting in the Guildwatch column, but I think, for today, we can do better. If your guild looking for more take a moment to comment with the nitty gritty. If you're interested in putting up a little advertisement take a moment to copy/paste and complete the following form:

Our guild's app asks what you do for a living. I'm not an officer, but it's not hard to see why. I can think of two reasons.
1- It's a sign of maturity and responsibility if you have a job.
2- It speaks to your availability. Are you on call 24/7 and thus a little unreliable? Do you have a 9-5 office job that will allow you to always be home for raid times? Do you manage a pizza place that will ask you to close the store at weird schedules? Are you still in school with few responsibilities? Are you in college but working a full-time job on the side to pay for school?
It helps to know what kind of schedules and stresses your raiders are under, and it helps to know if they're used to showing up somewhere on time on a schedule under their own power (i.e. not by threat of truancy law).
Alexiaa May 16th 2009 3:28PM
Guild name: House of Darkness
Faction: Alliance
Server: Anetheron
Website: In progress
Raid/active time*: raids start at about 630pm eastern time, about 3 nights a week.
Accomplishments: naxx 10, sarth 10/25, were still pretty new
Goals:Well we are a pretty casual guild but we are looking for some serious players for the raid nights because we would like to progress a lot farther than we are restricted to.
Who we are: Most of us have been playing together for awhile now we are a real close knit friendly guild - but we have realized that we need to start recruiting some good players due to some problems in raid attendance and lack of classes.
What we're looking for: We are really looking for anyone who has the drive to progress in content, healers and tanks are needed the most, but we never deny a good player.
Contact: AIM: Lunchb0x812, email: Mrr411@stu.aii.edu, in game my name is Alexiaa, also feel free to talk to Darkcookie or Ailynn as well.

Goals: Creating a warm and friendly community for those of us who aren't interested in hard-core raiding guilds.
Who we are: Mature, casual, helpful and friendly. We love achievements and secondary skills. Some of us raid, some of us have 10 active alts, some of us farm mounts, but we all help our low-level members!
What we're looking for: All classes and levels. Age 21+ only please.
Contact: Sabr or Wahoofish in-game.

What we're looking for: Friendly, mature, casual raiders. Up until now we've been strictly on the 10 man track, but we look to get into 25s. Tanks and Healers are always welcome, but DPS is good too.

EderX May 16th 2009 3:31PM
Sure.
Server: Scarlet Crusade
Guild: Shadow Riders
Type: Casual/Raid
Info: We are a pretty casual, social guild who likes to tackle content from the level 60 up to level 80 raids. Raiding schedule is currently Friday/Saturday night at 7 server.
We like to raid to have fun as our first priority, so if your looking for hardcore progression, we are not the guild for you.
Racists, Sexists and Elitists not welcome.
The rules are lax, the progression is slow, but hey, we all have a good time without too much pressure.
Give a shout out to Ederlinban, Madgarini or Spintobean for invites.
Marcaile May 16th 2009 3:37PM
Guild name: Continental Types
Faction: Alliance
Server: Stonemaul
Website: www.continentaltypes.com
Raid/active time*: M-Th, 6:30 PDT
Accomplishments: Ulduar --> through Thorim 10s; through XT 25s
Goals: To clear endgame content at a steady pace without burning out!
Who we are: We are a semi-casual guild of mature players who enjoy end-game raiding after a hard days' work. Semi-casual for us means that we do not have attendance policies (you can raid as many or few days as you want to make yourself available), but our raids are well organized, and we all expect our fellow raiders to be prepared and dedicated to the task at hand. We have fun, but are serious about progressing. Our goal is to tread the ground between fun and progress without feeling like the game is a gob.
What we're looking for: Players who are intelligent and dependable in their roles, and come to raids with positive, mature attitudes. We all get along, and we do not tolerate bad attitudes, people only interested in "gearing up," and those who cannot act like adults.
Contact: Applications are available on our website. Please contact Marcaile, Dousk, or Elindriele on the Stonemaul server.

Looking For Late Night Guild!
Koremar
63 Night Elf Hunter
Durotan-PvE, U.S.
Looking for a guild that raids 10pm EST or later - my work shift locks me in for late night runs for the next year, minimum. Getting my hunter main leveled to 80 within the next month. Already have an 80 DK, already use Vent, already know most of Naxx. My current guild schedules our raids at 7:30pm EST, meaning no raids for me. Hence: I need a new guild.
Akeesha Holder May 16th 2009 3:35PM
Guild name: Winter is Coming
Faction: Alliance
Server: Earthen Ring (No, its not really so much of an RP server, if you're looking for such)
Website: www.winteriscoming-er.com
Raid/active time*: Ulduar 25-Wed/Fri 7-10 EST Ulduar 10-Sun/Mon 7-10 and various other raids throughout the week.
Accomplishments: 8/14 in UL10, Seige in UL25, all other content cleared except Sarth + drakes
Goals: Our goal is to allow players who don't have the time for hardcore raiding guilds to be able to see end game content.
Who we are: We're a bunch of causals who like to raid. We don't like drama, and we refuse to deal with it. We're all atleast 18, most of us 25-40. a lot of couples, and parents.
What we're looking for: Any class/spec really, but specifically people who will show up when they sign up. We do not force raid attendance, and some of our people can only go once a month. We also have a very casual friendly and unique loot system that you won't find but in a handful of guilds on this specific server.
Contact: Josalin, Ellindrissa or Azariel. Website would be best, though.
Jhestor May 16th 2009 3:35PM
Server: Gnomeregan
Guild: Resolute (Horde)
We have a solid group of good raiders that are currently progressing into Ulduar10. We've had enough people to do Naxx25, but are continuing to recruit quality players for the new challenges in Ulduar25.
If you are an experienced player that knows what difficult content is (see: Burning Crusade) but need some flexibility in raid scheduling, give us a try. We don't have strict schedule/attendance demands, we only ask that communication between players be kept open at all times, and members be willing to work at attaining guild-wide goals.
Whisper Jhestaur or Kelkutta.

Junglebabe May 16th 2009 3:43PM
Guild name:
Faction: Alliance
Server: Alleria
Website: isoloedarthas.guildomatic.com
Raid/active time*: Active and high lvl members on about 9pm server.
Accomplishments: We were the first guild to take down the Lich King. (Not possible, we know.) At lvl 1. Naked.
Goals: Currently into heroics, we're looking for a slightly larger player base to begin raid content.
Who we are: We are a casual guild who prefer quality players over impatient jerks, ninjas, and bad attitudes. Our strenuous promotion system is a testament to that. If you're looking for a hardcore raiding guild or one with boundless online activity, then don't bother with us. We're small and close knit, and like it that way, but we would also like to grow and retain that same family atmosphere.
What we're looking for: We're looking for honest people with good humor, a positive attitude, and doesn't think PuG is a type of dog. Impatient and lazy players don't last long with us. We're not a power leveling service. We're not an item drop grinding service. We're looking for players who would never think that.
Contact: Junglebabe or Qbassic ingame. Post to website general forum otherwise.

Guild name: Halcyon
Faction: Alliance
Server: Wyrmrest Accord
Website: wa-halcyon.wowstead.com
Raid/active time*: Nax10 is 5ST Fri-Sat with a side of OS10 tues or wed.
Accomplishments: Nax10 full clear and plenty of one shots our first time in. Guild is 2 days younger than the server we're on.
Goals: Gathering enough like-minded players to hit 25 man content.
Who we are: Halcyon was formed on the basis that any dedicated player should have the opportunity to see the content they pay for without having a 5 night a week raid schedule. We do not promote ourselves as a raid guild but would like to progress to 25s just as we've progressed through 10s. We're a guild of mature, working 8-to-5ers who like to relax on the weekend and steamroll some baddies, though the guild is active all week.
What we're looking for: Healers and ranged DPS, though we we'll consider anyone interested ;)
Contact: Kikafin (Guild Lead) Tiggerfox, Vorimonde, Sezter, Sargenil, or Jaradon. (Officers) ...Or hit us up on the website listed above.
Elora May 16th 2009 3:45PM
Guild name: Darkest Before Dawn
Faction: Alliance
Server: Drenden (EST PVE)
Website: http://darkestbeforedawn.guildlaunch.com
Raid/active time*: 8pm - 11pm EST Tues, Thurs and Sunday
Accomplishments: All t7 content, we started as a 10 man guild of 12 people and had a blast through all the 10 man content. With some decisions by Blizz though in 3.1 we decided to make the shift to 25s. We've been building up the roster since then and haven't spent much time in Uld 25, but have got past the first few bosses np.
Goals: Progression without it turning into a second job.
Who we are: I would say we are the hardcore guild for people with a life. We're very serious about raids, come well prepared, know how to play, have set policies on things but at the same time we don't raid 20 hours a week. 9 hours is all we ask people to commit to and we make the most of it. We keep a very small roster.
What we're looking for: Mature players (over 18) with some raiding exp and gear that's ready for heroic uld. We are recruiting mages, boomkin, 2 healers who aren't priests, a blood dk and an enhancement shaman.
Contact: Elora, Emberlaine, Rhei or Mingan in game. You can email me at jminson@hotmail.com
Trasken May 16th 2009 3:43PM
Guild name: Omnis Vici
Faction: Horde
Server: Detheroc - US
Website: Omnisvici.guildlaunch.com
Raid/active time*: Wed, Friday, Saturday for the most part. We're fairly casual. Time wise: Raids 99% of the time are at 7:30pm
Accomplishments: We've cleared Naxx10 a few times, we're getting ready to start on Ulduar 10. We've also downed OS /VoA (we don't generally actively do those, we PuG them).
Goals: We're hoping to get into 25 man raids but we're lacking the people.
Who we are: For the most part we're made up of college age "kids". We joke around quite a bit in vent and guild chat and pretty much have fun. Quite a few of us are former "hardcore" raiders from the TBC days but we're taking it a bit slower in WotLK. We don't do any "5 hour nights" or any of that junk, instead, we rely on small speed improvements (raid keeps moving as loots is distributed, etc.).
What we're looking for: Pretty much everything but tanks, we could really use some healers and possibly a few dps.
Contact: Fitypat/Davenport, Odin(goofy letters)/Xacilis, Necroflesh, Candika, or Tazula. You may want to mention this ad as well as my name (Trasken is my in game name)

Guild name: Grey Death Legion
Faction: Horde
Server: Area 52 - US
Website: http://www.greydeathlegion.info/
Raid/active time*: We are most active between 6pm and 11pm server time (Eastern Time Zone server)
Accomplishments: Naxx 10/25, OS 10/25 (one drake on each), EoE 10, VoA 10/25, Ulduar 10: 3/14
Goals: To have fun and raid without the pressures of progression
Who we are: From our website: "Grey Death Legion is a mature, casual close-knit group of skilled and experienced players with the drive to excel in all areas of World of Warcraft. Our goals are to help each other level, give advice and share in the adventure that is World of Warcraft. For Wrath of the Lich King our main focus is on FUN. We will be highly competitive in Arena and Battlegrounds, Heroics, 10 man Raiding and possibly 25 man content. The name Grey Death Legion should spark Fear in opponents and respect and admiration from those that fight along side us! We will RAID but Raid progression will not be our focal point as we cater to those adults that have lives outside of WoW (Family,Job, School) and cannot make a set schedule or be as active in the game as they would like. Our goal is to have a healthy and successful guild community filled with great players who strive to help each other as much as possible. When the content gets stale, you log on because you enjoy the commraderie and companionship of your guildmates." So yeah, that. Also, we do not use DKP.
What we're looking for: We take any class, but you must be at least level 50. You can bring your alts with you, too. (They don't have to be level 50, just your main.)
