Apparently if you want to authenticate your game tonight, you'll be out of luck. At least for the time being.Authentication? Logging in? Who needs that?
There has been some conflicting information out there. According to Bornakk, all the issues have been resolved. However, according to Billtesdes the authentication issues are being investigated.
Judging by the number of you sending in tips to WoW Insider, I'd say things are definitely broken at the moment.
We'll update this post when more information is available.
Update: This issue is apparently fixed.

I didn't have a battle.net account tied to my wow account, but when I couldn't log on because of authenticating and heard the issue was tied to that, I went ahead and attached it. It was solved instantly and I could log in no problem.

Any bnet users also unable to sign in to their website also? (or the wow account manager)
I can't login to anything bnet related, however my cookie'd login at the official forums stayed logged in and I was able to post a topic. Strange.

Authentication working for me (blizz account) and my wife (old wow account), logging into Alterac Mountains - US (H).

Battle.net account + Authenticator = works 4 me!

To answer my own question, yes it was the iphone authenticator.
I had to hit RESYNC which updated my key to what should be used, which explained why I couldn't login to my account anywhere.

its 10:55pm est
i have been trying for the last 45minutes to log in and i get the msg "the login server is currently busy. please try again later." well i tried later and still doesn't work.
I tried to log on to the account manage site and it says this service is unavailable. I then went to the battle.net website and it says my account doesn't exist....What the hell is going!
Please help!

When I go to www.worldofwarcraft.com and try to manage my account, I get redirected to a battle.net site.
I'm thinking they are trying to force linking.

i love WoW insider. One easy page visit and i know that it wasnt my computer bugging out but wow it self.
