During the Ignis encounter using Cloak of Shadows just before he finishes casting Flame Jets will let you avoid the initial damage, the dot and the jump, so you can stay alive and keep on dealing damage. When CoS is on cd you may want to use Feint to halve the initial damage of Flame Jets, but you'll take all the dot, anyway less chance for you to die!
