I'm hardcore Alliance, and I agree with this article's points. :C We don't have a strong, charismatic leader like Thrall. Maybe if they would give Jaina Proudmoore a bigger role...hmm, I wonder why they haven't... ._.

Without getting too far into the lore details (most of which I'm ignorant of), I suspect that Jaina doesn't take a more prominent role because she's sympathetic to Thrall and the Horde. If you had Thrall and Jaina leading the two factions, it would be more likely that they would be able to work out a more lasting peace...

Isn't the fact that Jaina continues to be marginalized by the other human nations supposed to be part of the problem that human civilization is having in WoW atm? That its leadership is dominated by a patriarchal, self-righteous aristocracy that is incapable of hearing dissenting, pragmatic opinions such as Jaina's?

Well maybe this is just me but after watching the warchief get slagged in his own capital city by Garrosh, my opinion of Thrall dropped quite a bit. I also feel bad because you never hear a word from Sen'Jin, Cairn or Lorthemar. You see Sen'jin at brewfest, Cairne at Children's week and Lorthemar? When you read that the alliance is attacking him and no one is going to save him. In WC3 the tauren chieftain was a bad ass and in this one they just made Cairne an old man who just chills all day. Those are my gripes.P.S my main is a blood elf rogue, I didn't think they'd be so popular, I'd like to apologize to the rest of the horde. Sorry gais!

Senjin's dead, baby. Sen'jin's dead.i guess you meant Vol'jin, right?

I think it's pretty unfortunate the wway Jayna and the new "king" of stormwind seem to be playing th biggest roles in world events because they're the two weakest leaders in my eyes. Jayna has always given me the impression of being dumb and Varian feels completely out of place. Maybe he'd fit in better if I had read their comic or attented the event where he sailed into Stormwind, but he still lacks leadership qualities (like being calm, collected, patient, overbearing etc) that Thrall possess. The alliance does have cool leaders though, I mean Malfurion was always one of my favorites in Warcraft 3 and Magni is awesome. But Malfurion is still sleeping and Blizzard seem to be ignoring Magni... Then again Cairne is way cooler than Thrall and he's also left out of all the fun.

If you don't think Varian Wrynn is a strong leader you should read the Warcraft Comic books. Besides his presence is supposed, to relight the fires between the Horde and the Alliance. You green skins invaded our realms, or did you forget? The only good Orc is a dead Orc.

@SolexTechnically, I don't think it's that Thrall was beaten. I remember watching them fight once, and Thrall brought Garrosh down to 30% first, and that triggered the invasion thing. It had to do with what moves they used and when, sometimes Garrosh would be doing spinny things while Thrall was at range lightning bolting him and winning. The fight ends as soon as one gets to 30%, anyway.Thrall's a shaman/warrior, we all know he can heal and unleash a bunch of feral spirits, so there's no way he was *really* losing that fight.
@YennyVarian is a joke of a character. One of the most poorly written, predictable, and unoriginal Gary Stus to show up in WoW. It surprises me that so many people see him as such an amazing character, he's just Garithos with a (somehow) even bigger chin and a past history that perfectly mirrors Thrall's, minus the gaining wisdom from it part.
