I gotta disagree with the Crossroads experience. Dishonorable kills were incredibly annoying, particularly the first time that your reputation was tarnished by some unknown, over-zealous member of your PuG raid. However the occasional 40 man plus battles were simply incredible.In all honesty, the first time I experienced this my PC lagged to death and I had to leave. However this was really my PC's fault and an upgrade later, I was able to cope with such environments.It was like the first time walking into Ironforge and seeing the sea of blue name tags above other players, world mass PvP gave a sense of community and belonging.I don't miss the long BG queue times, but recognising familiar faces (outside your guild and faction) on your server has something to be said for it. There was no elitism in a PvP raid, quite the opposite. If anything when a weaker player was ganked, it rallied everyone together to kill more of the enemy in response.It was in these environments where you could actually see other great players on your realm in action and back them up. Even the lowbies would try and help at the risk of a gy run, just because of the sense of camaraderie.Yeah I do miss spontaneous realm based world PvP. WG is simply not the same.

Completely disagree on the pvp elitism. Back in the day when you entered a BG you wouldn't automatically be put into a grp with the everyone. Because of this premades excluded many and since there was no honor system they felt they had all the right to do whatever necessary to keep their weekly rank.

@XinoI think, in fairness, the truth lies someone in the middle. You're right, the auto-group in BG was a great fix.The point I'd like to make is, yes, there have been hundreds of great improvements in the game and there were lots of serious problems in "Old Azeroth". On the whole, the game is far, far better now and yet, there are some things from the old game I still miss and prefer. Decent realm based PvP being one of them.
