I think this post hits the nail right on the head. I definitely have those moments where I look back and think "Yeah, vanilla WoW was so much better...". It's sort of like people saying that the 80's were awesome and how much they hate current times. The 80's probably were awesome, but if you'd go back now it wouldn't be the same. (For the record, I'm not one of those people, but I have a lot of friends who are).Especially when you talk to newer players it's sort of satisfying to be able to say "Oh yeah, classic WoW. Those were the times - you should have been there".But as this post says, when you break it down vanilla WoW had just as many issues - if not more - than what we have today. That's why Blizzard won't do "classic" servers. It would give people a harsh kick in the butt back to reality, and they would be swarming back to the "real" servers in no time.
