WoW Moviewatch: Oxhorn Brand Medley
Reader Ted T. asked for a good place to get started with Oxhorn videos. That's a really tough call, because Oxhorn's created so many different movies. But, I guess my favorite Oxhorn piece is the Oxhorn Brand Medley. (Moo Money actually first covered it about a year ago.)
Not only does it combine everything there is to love about Oxhorn machinima, it also expands his music in some interesting ways. When my fiancee and I first saw it, we spent all weekend singing its chorus over and over and over.
The chorus seems simple, but is actually rather difficult to belt out in tune and in time. "LOLOMGWTGDAIRYQUEEN" flies across the screen to help you know what Oxhorn's singing, but getting it down corectly and reliably can be a challenge. The "Oxhorn Brand Medley" revisits and tips its hat to some of his best songs, but still manages to blend them all together in a convincing way.
While it might help if you're familiar with Oxhorn's many videos, you definitely don't need to have seen them to enjoy the video. Take a few minutes, check it out, and see what you think.
If you have any suggestions for WoW Moviewatch, you can mail them to us at machinima AT wowinsider DOT com.

wow... that's all I have to say, in a good way of course

Personally, I think that ROFLMAO! is the best one to start off with. Even my non-WoW playing wife enjoys that one. :)
The Anti-Elf Anthem is pretty awesome too.
This one just seems like it might have too much going on at once for people unfamiliar with his work. Still awesome though.

I'd agree that ROFLMAO is probably the best one to start with. You could always just visit Oxhorn's page on wegame as well and then just watch them all!

I personally think, that more than anything else, Mortimer (the Uber Leet Dude) is where his Brandon's genius really shines through. His scripts, are quite frankly, amazing, and capture a leet speaker so appropriately, that I enjoy every time I hear Morty talk.

Oxhorn is, and always shall be UB3rL33T!
However, I have to ask.....Oxypoo....what the heck were you smoking? :P
Great video. I have to say, as a fellow resident of SilverHand, Oxhorn is one of the BEST things to come from our server XD

I know there are people out there who think this is weird and don't realize it's a reference to something that same long before it.

wow. great job.

No offense... but the Medley is the WORST place to start watching Oxhorn. You won't get any of the jokes in it. It's a culmination piece, not a starter.
It's not going to make any sense at all to a new watcher and might just make him think Oxhorn must be freakin' weird and not worth watching.
Great movie, I love the Medley. Bad idea to watch it first.

if you want a good one that's not a music video, I'd say go for Drunken Kodo Riding or Crick in the Back
both are freakin funny =p

Personally I like starting with the Curse Words series - it's pretty short, it's the basis for about half his jokes, and is funny. It also shows his progress as a machinima producer extremely well. After that, I like to show some of the Asoc. Professor Evil ones (tank tank heal tank epic roll....).
In this video, my favorite part by far is when it looks like a guitar hero fret drop with the kodos. Very cute. Your best place to start with Oxhorn, in the end, is to go to his website, http://www.brandonmdennis.com/ and just start. Book a few hours.

Although I respect Oxhorn as a machinimator I just can't bring myself to watch his work.
