The Sceptre quest chain is probably the best time filler in the game.. specially getting neutral with brood.

I've done a good chunk of those things. But a lot of those things are fairly easy (rep with the Netherdrake people, Jenkins title (I had a friend who soloed that), Ogri'la to exalted (not something you can grind since you can only do a certain # of quests per day which give rep). Mana-Tombs? That's not even hard on regular or heroic, I don't know many people at 80 who have NOT been through there. I haven't done Black Temple yet, mainly because there are no groups going at the time of night I can actually get on and DO group stuff. For some reason everyone on Hydraxis loves to run Black Temple smack in the middle of the day. I have tons of things i want and need to do on my character, but the problem is, I can see how you'd be sitting around twiddling your thumbs if you'd either done all that (anyone who got to 70 pre-LK had a lot time to mess around with most of the stuff you mentioned already), or had no interest in it.If you're in the middle ground where you aren't in a guild that's really ready to raid, and that can't help you get geared to do basic raids like Naxx-10 even in PUG, you are at this weird point where there's *not* much to do except Cooking/Fishing dailies and Argent Tourney. I'm lucky, because I can occupy myself almost endlessly with trying to grind rep to get 40 exalted factions.Let's face it, Argent Tourney is, for the most part, boring. The rewards themselves are good, but the daily routine is *so* mundane (and drawn out for so long when you're stuck doing Valiant quests too) that a lot of people want no part of it. It's only holding my attention because I want the rewards. If you get people who do not care about the pet and mount and tabard achievements, and who are already geared in better items than what are offered, it's a total waste of time.Even though raiding is more inclusive now, Ulduar still isn't on the plate for a lot of players. And it's also more difficult to get Ulduar-geared because a lot of people aren't bothering to run the content to *get* people Ulduar-geared. I wouldn't even ask to go to 10 after looking at my analysis on WoW-heroes. I would feel like the entire group was carrying me because I"m undergeared. If you jumped from 70-80 right after LK launched, and had a lot of time to run Naxx before Ulduar came out, you don't likely have to worry about that. But for those of us who just got Naxx-ready right before Ulduar came out..yeah, not much for us to do there either. Of course, this all hinges on the fact that WoW-heroes is accurate and not lying to me about the fact that I'm supposed to be running Naxx and OS-10 right now.Ultimately, you can lead a horse to water, but you can't make it drink. That is to say, you can offer all the achievements in the world, some people are still not going to give a crap about reputation and running old instances and raids and other things that *are* great time killers. Some players like to run classic content, others don't. You can't force that boat of people to start doing that any more easily than you could try and convince the people who enjoy doing it to stop. So what we are left with is a pretty awkward place in the game right now for a lot of level 80s. Even with my infinite patience at times for rep grinding, I'll admit when I log on and finish my dailies there's a *huge* feeling of "Well now what?"

@danawhitaker: Well, most of the points are not "get achievement"; they are in sense of "have fun"/"amaze yourself" doing them.Mana Tombs is FUN. It's simple and straightforward, no ridiculous dances or some other shit. Go there, kill stuff mindlessly, have fun. And the dungeon have a good design too, something I haven't found in ANY Northrend dungeons.Black Temple (and thanks Agerath for correcting me) is amazing to the point that you feel you're part of the lore. No bullshit "go there and kill sutff". I reckon it could be a little bit tiring seeing Illidan give the same speech week after week, but at least it isn't the boredom of killing Kel'Thuzad over and over again with nothing changing. When you finish it the first time, you get really amazed with what you saw there.Nothing (and I repeat, NOTHING) amazed me in Naxx. They are so bland and boring it's not even fun. I'm not saying that battle-wise, but... erm... "happening-wise". Blizzard seems to recognize that dungeons and raids are, now, just a bunch of gear running and, thus, they don't need to put anything to amaze people. I'd surely run Black Temple again to see Illidan and his speech again, but in all honestly, the only thing that drives me to Naxx is gear. And only that.Same goes to the Netherdrake, 'cause there is a small bit happening just after you get Exalted.

A good way to keep yourself occupied between raids is going for the 50 mounts, 100 mounts or 50 pets achievements.
