WoW Moviewatch: Holy Priest PvP!
It took me a few minutes to get this joke. But once I did, I laughed. While this is certainly outside the normal operating procedure for Moviewatch, the Holy Priest PvP succeeded in making me literally "laugh out loud." As a result, I thought it was a must-see for many of our loyal audience.
I was, at first, skeptical of the accuracy with which the author portrayed the Holy Priest experience. Borrowing a friend's account, I immediately loaded up Warsong Gulch and proceeded to rock out. I must assure you, gentle Moviewatcher, that X2oph was loyal to the actual play style.
Ultimately, though, I think the movie didn't need to be quite as long as it was. The soundtrack was well chosen, since it help keep the "feel" of the video lighthearted. However, once you "get" the joke, I think the movie has delivered its payload. Brevity can be the heart of wit, as they say.

lol its funny cuz its true...

The most infuriating is not even being killed by the opposing team, no no, they're just doing the job. What makes me want to smash another keyboard is the fact that my own team overlooks and ignores the kind healer behind the bush that's keeping everyone alive..
*counts to ten*

I'm replying to you because this deserves to be on the front page.
Witness the power that is Pre-BC Resto Druid PvP

Are priests seriously crying? Spec disc, you know, they're kind of the most OP healers in the game and all....
BoyLinux May 26th 2009 12:11PM
That is about the state of healing in BGs. Try to heal get killed and start all over again as no one seems to like protecting healers.
Bullcrud May 26th 2009 12:12PM
I agree that holy preists with angleform are OP in PvP. You can't even interrupt their heals!!
Nerf priests!
evanmbunnell May 26th 2009 1:24PM
Are you so obtuse as to think it's really called Angleform?
Wakkawakka.
Avan May 26th 2009 2:46PM
Tell me about it. Everyone knows that the only accepted things to call it are:
Spirit form
Improved Death
Kenobi mode
Andres May 26th 2009 3:39PM
"Kenobi mode"
That's a new one!
As for the video, it's a very old video, way back when Holy PvP was severely lacking in BC.
pantear May 26th 2009 3:44PM
My bad. I saw a similar video a long time ago, during early BC.

Lawl.
Honestly there are some holy priests in PvP. Body n' Soul is sick. After i get my staff next week i'm planning to try it out for a few matches to see what its like. Don't want to mess up my rating till then, heh =D
Jaziek May 26th 2009 12:16PM
clearly he isnt properly specced with key holy PvP talents like body and soul. :D
Bananacup May 26th 2009 12:26PM
Wow now I feel a little less horrible about being extremely vulnerable as a restoration shaman.. At least it's more exciting than "sit still and heal for the duration of spiritform".
Erinorofdarkspear May 26th 2009 11:32PM
kinda like fire mage pvp. But at least we can blow stuff up.
I say let us (mages) turn into big scary fire dragons when we die and have no cooldown dragons breath at our whim. rawr scary

I've tried pvp healing, but I mainly do WG, and with the raid halfway around the map, it's hard to heal random guys not in my raid. I've tried it with Friendly Bars visible, but it's still more of a pain than it's worth for a holy priest. Now, I've seen some excellent shamans and trees healing, but it draws a lot of attention too (I do love banishing trees!).

Ok this has nothing to do with anything, but I need to place this somewhere where it will (hopefully) get noticed.
Ever since the site changed from wowinsider to wow.com and the partial redesign of the place, Firefox cannot load this site without crashing. It will crash every time without fail. I'm able to get it working with Safari no problem (Yes, I use a Mac. Please don't start the Mac vc. PC vs. Linux bullcrap), but I much prefer Firefox and I ususally have zero troubles with the browser.
Has anyone else had trouble with the site in the past little while or am I the only one?

I am using a Mac and am on FF 3.0.10. No problems here.
ladygamertn May 26th 2009 12:53PM
I use FF 3.0.10 on Vista and have no problems.

Whenever there is a new WoW Moviewatch post, my browser locks up and I have to Force Quit and try again... Embedded video + WoW.com = Browser Death? :S (Mac, FF3)
