The Queue: Boom boom boom
Welcome back to The Queue, WoW Insider's daily Q&A column where the WoW Insider team answers your questions about the World of Warcraft. Alex Ziebart will be your host today.Todays edition of The Queue should be read while playing Boom Boom Pow in the background. It's completely irrelevant to WoW or anything discussed today, but I haven't been able to stop playing the song for about a week now and it's really starting to drive me crazy. If I can't stop listening to it, I'll just make other people listen to it. Schadenfreude is just as good as a cure.
Jfofla asked...
"My question is about the 100 Mounts Achievement. With the introduction of the AT, this is more doable than ever before. Is there a current database of all available mounts to help those seeking 100?"
Yep! The WoW community is pretty crazy about building up resources like these, so just check out either WarcraftMounts.com or WoWCollect.com, that's all you should need. If you want others, just hit Google. There are oodles of them.
Ian R. asked...
"What ever happened to the Know Your Lore and Ask a Lore Nerd columns?"
Ask a Lore Nerd hasn't gone anywhere, it was just delayed a little because I had other big projects around the site that was pulling me away. That one will be back this week. I'm going to be trying to bring back Know Your Lore, and it actually should have been back already. The issue with that one is I always feel like I've run out of material, even if it's absolutely not the case. If there's something you really, really want to see in Know Your Lore when it returns, e-mail your suggestions to me at alex@wow.com and I'll add them to a list.
VSUReaper asked...
"Will we ever see Prot PVP gear for Paladins and Warriors (gear that has more than stam/resil - /glare at shields) or will we be forced to continue to wear our old raid gear gemmed and chanted with resil to be competitive?"
We haven't heard anything about this, but I can agree that I'd like to see it, too. I don't know how different it would be from the Ret gear for Paladins or the Arms/Fury gear for Warriors beyond glove bonuses, though. The tank-spec exclusive stats are probably things they would want to avoid stacking in PvP. You already get a lot of Strength to boost your Block Value, but adding even more via straight Block Val might not be such a great thing for PvP.
It's not like there's any other tank stat that's useful in PvP. Wearing the DPS gear might be for the best. Better shield itemization would be nice though, along with different glove bonuses perhaps. Otherwise? Eh.
Kevin Gass asked...
"Any chance that the Raven Lord mount Boss will spawn without a Druid in the party? I really want it."
Unless something changed recently (and I'm pretty sure it hasn't), no, Anzu won't spawn unless you have a Druid with the proper summoning item in your party. Sorry.

First, "thanks" for reminding me of the bane of the late 90s: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=34HYkwxHXck
Second, I guess a bunch of 80s could skip Syth (run along the walls) to not get an ID, continue to clear trash as needed, then the druid summons Anzu, hearthes out, and the rest can kill him, without the druid getting saved to the instance, to maybe help another group.
Then again if this gets popular, they'll probably have you saved to the instance when Anzu is summoned already.

As for BEP, they were good _before_ they added Fergie. Nuff said.

What is the general feeling on how crafters should roll on crafting drops they can use in a pug?
For example, if a nice bit of BoE gear suitable for your class and a nice upgrade for you drops during your pug through an instance, generally there is no problem with you needing on it.
What is the general feeling when it comes to things like essences and the like? If it's something you could use (via crafting) to get an upgrade, is it ok to need it or does everyone usually greed it as all could sell it on the AH? If the latter, how is it different from the gear drop?
Just thought it would be interesting. :)

Thing is in a pug, it's not that uncommon for EVERYONE to be a crafter, or to have one as an alt. Usually we discuss it and it comes down to roll where everyone either needs or greeds.
Pugs are dungeon challenges but they are social ones as well. Most of these type of questions can easily be answered by oneself remembering that the other toons there are people too, and life can be simplified by these guidelines. (and given that this only comes up at the end boss you can spare a minute or two to do this right)
1. Don't be an asshat
2. Be courteous to your fellow puggers, this will encourage them to return the favor.
3. And when possible, if you are going into a dungeon with this being an issue for you, talk it over before you begin the run, just like you should be doing with loot rules in general.
It's not rocket science folks.

My question isn't so much related to WoW itself (or maybe it is?), but more about a column on your site.
I seem to remember you had a column a year back or so, which gave background information about the WoW.com writers. I spent some time to try and find it, but alas no success. Could you perhaps provide a link to the column tag?
During my efforts to dig up said column, I did come across the following:

A relic of old times!

Do you think there will ever be a Cavern of time raid called “Battle for Silvermoon”? You would choose to play as the attacking scourge or defending blood elf’s. As the scourge you would be invading Silvermoon. Your job would be to make sure Arthas kills Sylvanas. As a blood elf you would make sure Sylvanas fights Arthas face to face and dies. The Infinite Dragonflights are trying to stop Sylvanas from getting killed so she will not become the Banshee queen and unite the forsaken, which would weaken the Horde. This would help with the Lich King’s plan to take over of Azeroth.

In a word.... No.

I've been looking for a good breakdown of exactly how MP5 works, and there doesn't seem to be anything out there. I'd originally believed it to tick every 5 seconds, yet Wowwiki clocks it a tick every 2 seconds, and I've heard reports of it ticking more frequently than that since WotLK. Can you clarify the tick mechanics of MP5?
P.S. I ask because it would help clarify the potency of the proc effect from the Meteorite Crystal that drops off Algalon 10-man ( http://www.worldofraids.com/images/news/algalon-the-observer-loot/meteorite%20crystal.jpg )
