Blizz wants your class questions
Blizzard gets more and more communicative every week recently. I love it. They recently announced that they're seeking questions for a community question and answer series, with a separate thread for each class. They'll be going through the class threads in order, answering questions and generally being awesome (one hopes). Afterwards everything will be gathered into one big blue pile of answers and presented to the community.
Nethaera is going to be the organizer of this little event, it seems. She warns us that it is "probably going to be a couple of weeks" before we start getting answers, because they want to give sufficient time for WoW players around the world to get their questions in. She also says she's going to try to get "the most prominent questions" answered, as well as questions that have been around for a long time without being addressed.
This is a great time to get your class questions and concerns addressed, so if you have anything you've always wanted to ask a dev, go find the Q&A thread for your class (in your class forum) and post away.

Neth posted a couple days ago that she was in the process of getting the best questions.

I'm happy that Blizz is listening to concerns. Hopefully there will be a day when everyone is happy and there's no more QQ, just people having fun.
Draelan May 29th 2009 4:12PM
That, unfortunately, is extremely unlikely. But, one can dream, eh?
dpoyesac May 29th 2009 4:52PM
There will never be a day when everyone is happy.
But if everyone is equally UNHAPPY then that is a sign that maybe things are as they should be.

Crazy,
within minutes, each class thread is filled to 400 posts. Those threads are so gonna lock soon.

I am curious if you think that with the rescent push to move DKs, Pally and Warrior DPS back into Plate that Blizzard will do the same thing for other classes?... I play a Shaman Elemental/Resto dual spec and I find that I'm in a mixture of Mail, Leather and Cloth to get the most of of my spells.
Scott May 29th 2009 4:41PM
All I'm looking for is the ability for my lock to wear plate gear =)

It's called a Death Knight. See? Answered that one. Now move along ;-P

over 20 pages and over 20 threads a day on Shaman Forums/Healing Roles and still no questions being answered for Restoration Shamans in PvE.
Yeah, how thrilling.
Nick S May 29th 2009 7:39PM
I have to ask, honestly - why do Resto Shamans feel that they're the worst PvE healers? Chain Heal remains very powerful, output seems to be higher than ever, and I haven't seen evidence of any of our Restos going OOM. I just don't get it - what's wrong?
Wyred May 30th 2009 8:32PM
I'd have to agree. Resto shammies seem good in pve, as a healing class leader in my guild I know we're going to have a harder time of it when our main resto shammy takes a night off. In pvp they have definite concerns, but in pve I don't see it. So unless you have something in mind I dunno. I guess you could always try posting your concerns in these Q&A threads I hear they've got going

why do blizz q&as never have as?
a three-line crytptic meta or offtopic bluepost every 30 pages is what i'm used to.

Yup, another US exclusive. I heard one US player is worth forty EU players!
Bubsa May 29th 2009 6:15PM
It's because US players need the answers to catch up to the EU
/cast flamewar
Monion May 29th 2009 7:23PM
Actually, there are similar class question postings on the European forums as well.
Veknir May 30th 2009 5:13AM
Wish they'd just unify the forums. It's pretty common knowledge that whatever is posted on EU forums is generally not read at all by Blizzard.
Bod May 30th 2009 8:05PM
You know this is a real issue, one that Wow(insider) should cover. I just checked the latest stats. Of the top 10 raid guilds, 2 are from the US, 1 is russian and the rest are EU, yet the European forums have almost no blue support, and are never posted on by Ghostcrawler and the gang.
See for yourself at http://www.guildox.com/go/g.asp
The wow community team has really not caught up with where the game is being played,.

Some people are missing the point, What I read started off with good questions then turned to the normal I want this forum.
kelly May 29th 2009 6:48PM
is it me or are the forums backwards with the oldest posts on the first page you click on and the new ones on the last ones?
crsh May 29th 2009 11:26PM
They want class questions? They already have 3 role and 10 class forums with tons of feedback and questions that they diligently ignore unless it fits with their PR plans.
