That Dark Legacy comic speaks the truth, In fact, I have yet to see a Black-colored Human on my realm.
Agerath May 31st 2009 9:34AM
My human female pala is dark-skinned.
Karilyn May 31st 2009 9:47AM
I have a black colored... um... Tauren...
Does that count?

You can pick a Dark skinned Human or Dwarf though.
although they are rare and I haven't even seen a Black Dwarf ever, besides there isn't really any lore to back up those skin tones, the only thing I can think of are Azotha from SVT...

Hint: The humans of Warcraft are based on medieval times in Europe.
Besides, in a game where you can be a blue, green etc. colored lad, I don't think this can even slightly be an issue. Grow up.

Heh, yeah, black humans are hard to find as both PCs and NPCs. The only black human i found in stormwind was a corrupt noble working for the defias brotherhood. Smooth, blizz.
When wyrmrest accord opened up, i joined and for the first time saw a lot of black characters, mostly priests and pallies. Guess a ton of players just sorta got the same idea at the same time :P
As for black dwarfs... They're rare. But then again, so are dorfs in general.
Why does this matter in a world where the majority of the population is green? Good question. But if your gonna go so far as to say black humans do indeed exist in this universe, you might as well go the other step and actually explain where they came from or at least portray more than three or something. As far as i can tell in azeroth dark skin might be a genetic aberration.
And yes, i'm white. But i have two black grandparents! (Don't ask)

FYI - many schools in the SE US are already out for the summer - northern schools typically stay in until end of June.

Gah ha ha! Cru made me laugh..."..And that's the last time I ever snuck up on a kodo!" X3

I know you can make darker hued humans and I have seen them. But it is also true that the appearance is generally European.
I tend to make albinos myself for some quirky reason.
Never heard of Dark Legacy Comics before but it seems to be worth a bookmark

Prettycake May 31st 2009 3:50PM

Comic fun fact: Tim's speech bubble says something along the lines of "The battle smells like feet and butt holes" (in reference to WSG) or something like that. I used a web Eng -> Korean translator for his text so it's probably not completely accurate :P
WoW, Eh had a great idea with the bouncing between the centaur and shield for a ricochet up to the big khan. Action sequences are hard; indicating movement and action in a series of still frames while trying not to stretch it out and boring the reader, but WoW, Eh did a good job :) Unlike some others I can mention *cough* Goblins.

That Dark Legacy thing is a bit weird; who's to say there need to be black gnomes? Not every humanoid race in universe has to have the same coloring scheme as humans do. Then again, having some more choice in character design would be nice. Not only skin, but also hair color should be selectable with a color picker, just like in Photoshop.
And really, Blizzard should remove the colored light from character creation screen. It's rather hard to pick the right shade of skin when the whole screen is tinted red (Orcs and Trolls) or pinky-blueish (Night elves).
