Yes this is news. Some people are interested in other bloggers or stuff like that... Just because its not all patch notes and blue posts dose not mean its not news... If all you want is patch notes go somewhere like MMO-Champion the rest of us will be fine here without you :)

There are people that like pictures of trainwrecks, but legitimate news sources don't publish pictures of those either. I bother to bookmark and frequent this site because it has insightful commentary. This is a tabloid level waste of hard drive space and has no business being on a news site.

There's a difference between a news site and a blog. Wow.com is a professional blog that should be held up to some form of journalistic standard, but it's not a plain news site.If you want to read for NEWS, I want to see you coming in to every article that doesn't report on recent happenings--breakfast topics, how-tos, opinions--and bitching about how those aren't news, either.If those are okay and this isn't, you're just being selective based on your personal preferences without accepting that others might have different preferences. And if those aren't okay either, you're in the wrong place.
