Dealing with in a ODM hardware environment is complete different then walking into a multi-generational software environment. Normally it's not a matter of poor coding that's the issue, but poor documentation of code. Code stability has been a major issue for Blizzard since the expansion came out. Blizzard used to work on the philosophy of "it's will be releases when it's ready". Sadly ever since WOTLK was released they have backed down from that stance. It's hard to say if this change of philosophy is due to pressure from management or their user base.
