Wowhead founder receives in-game homage

Why is this so cool? Well, Skosiris is the name of the founder of everybody's favorite World of Warcraft database, Wowhead. What can be a more fitting tribute than an NPC that manages, well, data! So that's what the Scryers did with all those Arcane Tomes. Blizzard has given nods to the community in the past, most notably with the NPC Breanni, who operates the pet store in Dalaran, and even to now-retired Druid blogger Phaelia, who got an item appropriately named after her. These are the tiny little touches that remind all of us that Blizzard appreciates what the gaming community does. Even though Shattrath is now a ghost town, Loremaster Skosiris and his library is a pretty good reason to drop by. When you do swing by the Scryer's tier, don't forget to bring some tacos for this librarian.

Wow. I would've thought you guys would've covered this already, as this is really, really, really old news. Been around for quite a bit.
uncaringbear Jun 2nd 2009 8:28PM
It was news to me, so I appreciate WoW.com bringing it to my attention.
Saithir Jun 3rd 2009 3:08AM
I thought it was mentioned here as well, but I found almost nothing. The only thing I've seen was a little note on Wowhead's blog - cleverly hidden behind the "continue reading" link I didn't click earlier. It seems not a lot of others did...

For me the fact that it's new from 3.1 ( or 3.0, or whatever ) is news. Since he's in Shat, I thought he always was there.
Wump Jun 3rd 2009 4:14AM
Is patch 3.1 really, really, really old ? Didn't think so.
Tolnuk Jun 2nd 2009 8:08PM
It's been known for a while, I think for as long as 3.0. But it's still well deserved :D

so that's scryer's only? no love for aldor? figures.
skreeran Jun 2nd 2009 8:11PM
No likes those spacegoat priests...
devilsei Jun 2nd 2009 8:49PM
No love for the Aldors? Pffft! The Aldors were superior in many ways. The necklaces from the SSO? Many times the Exalted Aldor ability was superior to the Scryer.
C'mon, the scryers deserve something ya know... besides the ungodly easy rep grind they had... :P

I have and continue to think that that thottbot is better than Wowhead.
uncaringbear Jun 2nd 2009 8:30PM
I still don't understand why they don't just merge wowhead, thottbot and allakhazam into one single unified site. They're owned by the same corporation anyways.
