Night Elf cat forms coming tomorrow

I've been anxiously refreshing pages all day to see if the Night Elf cat forms would come. In vain, apparently, as Zarhym has just posted to let us know that the forms in question will be unveiled tomorrow "later in the day," which probably means mid-afternoon (PST) sometime. In the mean time, we've got the other three sets of forms in the gallery below. What would your ideal Night Elf cat look like?

I suppose this means I can close the "Under Development" page on worldofwarcraft.com. I'm eager to see what my kitty form will look like. I'm also eager to find out what form colors and hair/fur colors will be linked.

I'd have to say I am a little irritated. Sure these forms are nice but what about the people who spend no time in cat or bear? ex: Myself as I am a resto druid and boomkins.

Okay seriously, Blizzard has this posted several times now.
THEY *ARE* GOING TO DO MOONKIN AND TREEFORM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
They stated they did the feral forms first because they are the OLDEST models.
Tree and Moonkin will NOT be in 3.2, but they are re-vamping all the forms. I apologize for the frustration in this post, but it's annoying when people can't spend two and half minutes actually looking up an answer. -.-

BLUE Answer: "Definitely. They just won't be done for the next major content patch. We plan to revamp all of the forms, and may continue to iterate upon the new forms coming out with additional color schemes, adding armor or additional customization, etc. "

I would think that just sucking it up and doing all forms at once would save them more in the long run. Then they wouldn't have to keep coming back to do more changes."
BLUE Answer:
The other forms do remain a work in progress. We decided it best to release bear and cat as soon as they were ready. We started them first because they are the oldest of the form models, and were in desperate need of a revamp and some additional textures to bring them more in line with the higher resolutions we've been using in the expansions. The Art team remains very busy on several different tasks for World of Warcraft, but now that new art for cat and bear are imminent, we'd like to keep pushing out new forms sooner rather than later.

Don't underestimate the power of stupidity, there will be people two patches after 3.2 that still will ask how to change druid forms. And they will be lvl 80's.
Problem is, if you tell them, will they be able to read it, since they obviously were too illiterate to read the patch notes?

I so hope this is a case of saving the best for last. The night elf cat form isn't too bad as is, and judging from the Tauren cat form change-up, the night elf kitty form may look very different. Here's hoping it looks sleek and strong!

Im expecting awesome things, loving the new forms so far. For me though even a new higher resolution version of the current Nelf cat form would please me, as it already looks very good.

yeah, this makes me wonder... i rolled an alliance druid because of tauren cat form, and i've come to rather like the current nelf kitty form... will there be any possibility of continuing to use the old shape once the new ones come out? i expect that the new ones will be lovely, but... well... i'm not 100% sold on the nelf bear form as it is, and i didnt even like the old nelf bear form... whats going to happen to my kitty?

*sigh* I guess I'll just be waiting some more, with my two forms looking like rotten broccoli and, well.. a boomkin. The latter is OK, I guess. I'd like it to be a *little* dressed up, I suppose. But the ToL form *really* needs work.

Before I get into my opinion, this is a step in the right direction and a really cool idea!
That said, I don't understand why they would go to the effort to make 5 new forms, and give them all the same features. For example the bear forms. They all have those arm/elbow bands? What if someone didn't want armbands? I'd say that at least 2 varieties in a few different colors each would have made more sense.
If we were to number these 1-6, I would say that if #2 and #6 (the darkest and the lightest ones) would look a lot better with arm bands. Having the option would also create more of a feeling of uniqueness, not of a repainted version of the same skin.
If not, they are still awesome.

Night Elf cat form is good enough already... all it needs is better model and other colors added... the design itself is rather cool as it is now.

agreed. the NE cat looks the best of all the druid animals (travel forms excluded).
i think that NEs would do a collective frown if tauren got graphic upgrades and they didn't though

I hope they don't change to much, nelf catforme was pretty decent, IMO even the best druid form available in combat (sff looks better but that aint combat forme) and that they include at least a forme which has the same colour as the current cat forme

I never got a Druid beyond the low 20s, but I've been thinking of giving it another go, trying feral instead of balance. Judging just from the bear forms, Tauren seem to be getting the better treatment. The Nelf bears are quite nice, but I absolutely adore those Tauren bear designs. I really like the Tauren cat design too (and I'm apparently one of the few people who didn't mind the old cat), but I'm interested to see what Nelf cats have in store for them, see if Tauren continue to win out.
