@Chevela: For solo tanking harder content (like Ony or level 70+ 5-mans), the turtle is going to be by far your best bet. Shell Shield greatly increases your pet's survivability, which tends to be much more important than DPS/threat when you have no healer with you. If you just want a good tank pet for killing groups of non-elites, consider a bear or crocolisk, both of which have solid special abilities that hit multiple targets.
