I want to go on the record. I love chests, I really do. If I'm riding through a low level area and spot a chest, I get as excited as a level 12, even though I know there will be 5 copper and an apple inside.
Taking them out of the game is wrong. What's wrong with a dash of random-ness?

I remember being so excited the first time I found a chest in wetlands. Too bad it was guarded by about 6 gnolls all of which were about 3-4 levels higher than me. I ended up getting a friend to come help me get the chest and even then we wiped a few times. After about an hour we finally got the chest.
Good times.

I remember getting my test account for Wow, and was not really caring much for the game, although it was enjoyable. I accidentally stumbled upon a chest close to a few human mobs and totally fell in love with the game. No other MMO had this. I actually waited around for the chest to respawn 3 more times, even though nothing useful dropped, and would open any and every chest I would come upon during the game.
