For playing WoW on Linux. I'd say the best free way is through Wine. After installing Wine, following the instructions to install WoW (I had to copy and paste the installer and installer tome files into a separate folder because when I installed it on Ubuntu, the installation kept failing) and then reconfiguring the config.wtf file to set gxAPI to OpenGL, I could finally play.
Search up google, the ubuntu forums, or wowwiki, because I think they have tutorials on how to install WoW on Linux. Its also adviseable to use the latest version of Wine.
