Hey, I can't wait for The Old Republic either, but this might be going too far. Demonicwiz of <No Bull> on Eonar showed his commitment to the Dark Side by enchanting his Argent Avenger with Demonslaying, creating a red lightsaber. He then added a hood and robe to complete his ensemble. Now if only we could make a double-bladed purple saber ....

I grew up with Star Wars, loved Star Wars, but after those three horrid prequels I'm am just plain sick of Star Wars. Clones? Are you fricking serious?

If you grew up with Star Wars then you would know that the idea of clones popped up in the first movie. Remember that little talk Kenobi had with Luke in his little hovel after he gave him his lightsaber? You act as if it was purely a product of the prequels...

Go look at the trailer.
A time before the whole Anakin Skywalker thing.
A time when Jedi and Sith waged open war.
A time when being a bad guy meant you were a bad ass and not some chump in a robe plotting or a cyborg that lets a farm boy blow up your planet destroying super weapon because a hick comes out of the sun at you.

I'm hyped for the MMO simply because it's Bioware and I loved the first KOTOR (never played the second for some reason) and if anyone can do it right, it's got to be them. Unless Lucasarts wants to hook up with Blizzard ^_^

Ignore the last 3 movies and judge this IP on it's on merits. I still get flashbacks from the horrible stilted dialog from the first two new Star Wars movies, but this might actually be a very entertaining game.
I say might, of course, because I'm still playing WoW 5 years after starting it and haven't stuck with any other MMO for longer than 6 months. At least this isn't another fantasy game....well, traditional fantasy anyway.
Space Opera would still be a nice change.

Is that Argent Avenger, or Teebu's Blazing Longsword? AA is blue/white at the base, even when enchanted. TBL is a red glowy sword from High level Vanilla WoW Elites.
