WRUP: Garage inferno edition
Once again, a weekend has appeared over the horizon. And how is the WoW.com staff going to spend it? Those of us who haven't collapsed with exhaustion from E3 seem to be running all over Azeroth, with approximately 70% less Ulduar than in weeks past. Of course, the excitement doesn't let up - Alex's garage decided to have its own version of the Ignis fight, I think. You can see the result to the right.
Alex Ziebart: I'm going to playing a sweet game called 'oh my god my poor garage.'
Elizabeth Harper: I'm officially not going to be here.
Eliah Hecht: I'll probably be playing my baby shaman. Must get to 30 and Windfury. Flametongue is just not cutting it. That is, unless my girlfriend waylays me again and forces me to play Mario Kart Wii all weekend. I don't know why she likes getting defeated so much.
More after the break.
Matthew Rossi: We killed Yogg and I got my Aesir's Edge last night in our 10 man hard mode attempts. So this weekend I'll be grinding monies for my third Berserking enchant. I know, I know, poor me.
We'll probably finish our Hard Mode 10 man attempts over the weekend, I'll probably be tanking or healing those on the warrior or shaman. Depends on who shows up.
Matt Low: I'll be judging in a competition called So You Think You Can Raid! Its what guild masters do when the evaluation of raider applicants begin. I love summer. Knocks out people for weeks and I gotta be creative and come up with bandaid solutions.
Robin Torres: I'll be playing my druid while The Spawn oohs and ahhs over her different forms. "You turned into a lion! Rawr!"
Christian Belt: After having no reliable internet connection for the better part of a week (moving sucks), I will be collecting what's left of my sanity and trying to get reacquainted with my Mage. He's been lonely, and needs to be taken out for a spin, a little quality time in which to set things on fire and turn things which were not previously sheep into sheep.
Eddie Carrington: This weekend I'm going to be leveling in off the beaten path places and working on my Furbolg rep so I can make it to Winterspring and get a Winterspring Sabre.
Nick Whelan: Having uncovered a cell of Vecna's Cult in a small trade town, my adventuring party must now seek out the local high cleric of Vecna, to stop the Cult's local activity once and for all! Also coursework.
Adam Holisky: Leveling my Paladin.
Zach Yonzon: Singing (no, really) at my old man's 60th birthday party. Probably also going to take another crack at that mind-controlling Cookie Monster wannabe. If that fails (which is kind of likely considering we're now raiding with players off the bench...), I'm probably going to vent all my frustration in the Arenas. Time to call my acupuncturist.
Daniel Whitcomb: Now that I'm back in town, I'll probably continue leveling my Druid. Of course, my Diablo II Druid has been calling to me as of late as well, which is in part why the WoW one is not 80 yet.

The Aion beta is going on this weekend, and i can't wait to try it out. The game looks pretty damn interesting.

I've been eyeing that up myself. Though admittingly I haven't checked in on it the past month or two.

I hopped into the beta yesterday when it started. Only one server and the place was PACKED so you had alot of mob killstealing (and the way their system works.. the one who does the most damage to the mob gets the credit and the loot, instead of whoever tagged first.. which is lame IMO) but for being packed as it is, the place runs with surprisingly no lag and the game is very cute (do a /sleep as soon as you get in the game) and generally fun with pretty graphics although my PC can't handle it on high settings. I imagine on high settings, it would look fantastic.
I'll probably give it a chance when the full game comes out, I know the beta is missing alot (opening movie, NPC voices) so I won't judge it on the beta but what I've seen.. it's very nice

Jeez, what happened to that poor garage! Ouch.
I won't be playing at all. Fam's in town. Instead of WoW, I'll be doing lots of drinking, eating, and general carousing. :)

Apart from my usual revision i'll be doing dailies and making money on the AH for my kirin tor ring.

I'm contemplating restarting my WoW account or not. Part of me is burnt out on the game but the other part is bored and misses the game lol I think the main reason I became burnt out is because I offered my 80's services to my new guild (a leveling guild) that seemed to take advantage of it and I never got to do anything for myself (and being the kind soul I am, I couldn't just say no.) So if I do come back, I think I'm rerolling Alliance on a different server. Anyone need a newbie mage(maybe?) anywhere?! :P

Woo, go Nick! Kick those cultists' asses! Down with Vecna! Up with pants!
Nick W. Jun 6th 2009 7:16PM
As the DM, I'll actually be doing my best to make sure the cultists kick their butts. I even included a classic "the walls are closing in!" trap! Bwuahaha!

Sorry Alex, that really sucks! Best of luck.
shmack Jun 6th 2009 1:52PM
Hmmm... Christian isn't it a little bit insensitive to be talking about setting things on fire? Poor Alex.

That happened to my garage once. It involved Fireball and Spell reflect. Lesson learned.

Woot Diablo 2 Druids are awesome, too bad Pallys in that are way too op in that game and everyone knows it.

This weekend, level the priest (up to 47 now!), probably get roped into the progression run (more ulduar and the loot leviathan, joy), take care of LOTS of guild business (yay being a GM), do at least 10 arena matches, and probably start weeding through applicants and new recruits. Running a drama free and supportive guild that does leveling and professions and raid and PVP is unceasing work, but thankfully my officers and I view it as a labor of love for all of our 180 toons. Having recovered from a "problem" in December to routinely clearing Naxx and starting to pound on Ulduar 6 months later definitely stands as testament to all that work for my little Rexxarian band of whackos--even if it means leveling my own personal alts is now a slow, tedious, stop-and-go process. Totally worth it. :)

Our poor garage. :(

"So You Think You Can Raid?" ...I think I have to try that one out in our guild. Namely, collect all the relatively new people of our guild on the same date and get them to Naxxramas. I can just hear the groans of pain already.
Now to just figure out a date that fits somewhere out of our current guild raid times for 24 other people...
