Realm maintenance for Tuesday June 9th

First and foremost, the authentication systems will be undergoing maintenance from 3:00 a.m. PDT until 5:00 a.m. PDT. While Blizzard's announcement on the issue seems rather optimistic that you'll be able to login during that time, don't count on it.
Secondly, all realms not listed after the break will be undergoing rolling restarts beginning at 5:00 a.m. PDT, with Oceanic realms being restarted at 10:00 a.m. PDT.
Finally, the realms listed after the break will be going under maintenance from 3:00 a.m. PDT until 9:00 a.m. PDT.
Those affected realms include:
- Area 52
- Auchindoun
- Azuremyst
- Blade's Edge
- Blood Furnace
- Coilfang
- Dawnbringer
- Exodar
- Fizzcrank
- Galakrond
- Ghostlands
- Grizzly Hills
- Shattered Halls
- Terokkar
- The Scryers
- The Underbog
- Velen
- Zangarmarsh

Patch 3.3 is yet to hit the ptr, and being a major content patch will probably be on the ptr for about 2 months. You'll be waiting a while for the new forms (of which the new moonkin and tree of life changes are still yet to be released).

@Boozekin: I'm pretty sure I remember Blizz saying Cat/Bear forms will come out in the next content patch, which is 3.2. Also, I'm pretty sure I remember them saying Moonkin/Tree forms will not be coming out then, but they are working on those.

Don't know why people are celebriting that they're realm isn't on the list.. unless your logged in before 3:00 AM you won't be playing for awhile while Auth. Server is done...
And if you haven't put an Auth. key on your account yet.. what is wrong with you?! :O

FINALLY blizzard leaves Gnomeregan alone! Least we just get a rolling restart. Hopefully there's no issues with logging in...

The "additional instances..." thing is not a problem. Blizzard made it like that to lighten the load on their instance servers trying to prevent them from overloading and crashing.

It very much IS a problem. Paying customers should not have to spend over 40 minutes throwing themselves against an instance door to enjoy the product they're shelling out for.

I agree 100% it sucks ass to be outside of a dungeon for an hour running back and forth into the damn purple skull face only to be kicked back out with an error message. All I am saying was that is the way it is and I understand why it is the way it is... The "Cower bug" is an example of something that needs to be fixed, while the additional instances error is legit the way it is now.
Also, I know everyone says this and I back them up too, they are making plenty of money to add more instance servers, increase bandwidth, or whatever it is they need to do to prevent them from locking people out the way they do now. I, too, wish things were different but that is the nature of the beast when there are millions of people on the game at the same time.

Read the EULA - you may not be able to play WoW when you want to. It's in there and you clicked accept.
I hate it as much as anyone else and I want it fixed but 'Wahh wahh I'm a paying customer they have no right to have any issues whatsoever ever ever ever' is really old after hearing it for 5 years. It's an invalid argument and everyone is SICK of it.
You pay your 15 a month to subscribe on BLIZZARDS TERMS. You can complain you hate it, that you want it fixed, that you're personally suffering for it, whatever you want. But you CANNOT use the 'We're paying for a service that doesn't work properly!' argument because you are the one who accepts time and time again that you are playing on SOMEONE ELSES TERMS.
It's annoying, it's frustrating and things constantly go wrong. Welcome to software development, enjoy your say or go back to Tetris.

And when they remove the limit on instance servers and let everyone in at once, and when those same servers are laggy as hell and crash every couple of minutes, I'm sure you'll be back in here complaining about how shitty Blizzard's servers are and they need to put a cap on them.
That limit on the number of instances allows them to keep the number at a known maximum load that is, I'm guessing, just below where they begin to see problems. It's not there to laugh in your face for no reason.

No, I said it isn't right, it's unprofessional and lowers the general quality of the product. I fully understand the technical issues at hand here, and if Blizzard's server structure makes ANY sort of sense, it shouldn't take more than a month to fix (which is at least as long as this problem has been an issue). If my company allowed a similar problem to persist for this long (loss of access to high-priority services), me and everyone in my department would be out on our asses looking for work.
