@SaintStryfe - You are remarkably lucky then or perhaps don't play the game as often as some of us. I can count at least five times this year when Blizzard has posted maintenance saying that the battle.net login/authentication servers would be down - right in the middle of my prime gaming time. That's just announced time. Another three (or four.. my memory is getting fuzzy) patch Tuesdays, the Battle.net authentication servers then weren't up for several hours after the regular authentication was.
Again, this may simply be a matter of timing, your gaming time may not coincide with either the tail-end of the maintenance, or planned battle.net server maintenance.
Also, what does your iphone have to do with battle.net? It's not required for battle.net logins. You've chosen to use the mobile authenticator - that's great.. but your comment seems out of place in relation to the rest of the discussion. Its sounds simply like a plug for the fact you've got an iPhone. We see this a lot on the interwebs! Sigh @ vanity consumerism.
