About the faction question…There was, early in wow’s life, a belief that only hardcore players were of the Horde, and the alliance was a bunch of 12 y/o who wanted to play the prettier races. I don’t think that is the case anymore as anyone who plays on both factions can attest.Much of that “ZOMG, reroll horde” is really just a remnant of early wow that many people refuse to let go.That being said...All night elf hunters are a bunch of noob morons who weren’t even smart enough to roll a dwarf (see it still applies to me)http://fatchickstank.blogspot.com/

*shrug*I rolled Night Elf because my friends had started an all-Night Elf guild, and they're the reason I started playing in the first place. I did roll a Dwarf Hunter on another server, but got so sick and tired of looking at him that I deleted him after level 23. The female Dwarves aren't much better.Thankfully, the "Huntard" moniker is fading slightly, because DK is easier to faceroll now. There are still plenty of absolutely horrible Hunters out there though.

DK’s are absolutely the new hunter. The good ones are amazing and the bad ones make you want to put your mouse through your monitor! The major problem with DK’s being recognized as the new huntard is that at least hunters don’t tank. Bad DK tanks are worse than any huntard ever rolled.BTW, I was just using the night elf hunter thing as an example.

If you want to guess at Blizzard's bias consider this. They put a Horde statue in front of their building. At the second Blizzcon all badges were Horde, even if you registered as alliance. At Blizzcon they had over 100 computers set up to play a Beta of WOTLK. When I told them I wanted to play Alliance, it took five Blizzard staff members over 15 minutes to figure out how to do that. (That is right, ALL computers were set to play Horde only)And finally...a few years ago Blizzard made a big deal that their team of elite staff players would be in the BGs for a weekend. They announced they would be taking on all ALLIANCE players that wanted to play against them.Is there any doubt who Blizzard favors?

@jfofla,As far as the statue example goes, do you really think any company has the desire to show off one their design teams talent with a statue of a human, a short fat humam, a shorter human, and a tall skinny human with long ears? C’mon, cut them some slack there. As far as iconic goes, the Horde serve that purpose. Not exactly a fair example. As far as badges go, I’d use the same example as before, the art is just what you would think of as typical human medieval art, so the horde badges make somewhat more sense. Not the best response, but not the worst either. To WotLK betas all being horde, well I will point out that there use to be a huge hole in the quests of the Horde and it still influences the loremaster achievement today. There was, obviously, more time spent on early game quest/story for the Alliance. It’s a beta, there are going to be areas of it that are not product ready. If they were more confident with the Horde side then that is what they present first. It doesn’t necessarily mean that there is a bias, nor does it imply there isn’t one.And to the BG comment, yes that could be the most telling, but again, I will insist that when forced to pick a side (and they would have to for a BG), most of the staff is going to “dance with the girl that brought ya,” and artistically the Horde is Blizzard’s achievement.

@ jfoflaThey don't have a HORDE statue, they have an ORC statue. While the Orc race is a part of the Horde, there are Orc's in outlands that are not, for example. Warcraft 1: ORCS and HUMANS was the title that started it all, so to speak, and I think Robert summed that up quite nicely for you, "do you really think any company has the desire to show off one their design teams talent with a statue of a human, a short fat human, a shorter human, and a tall skinny human with long ears?"

Actually, there used to be a definite horde bias in certain aspects and areas of the game, even through the beginning of BCFor example, the guards at Southshore vs. the ones at Tarren Mill. The horde side had higher level guards. Or the translocation sphere from UC to Silvermoon, while there's a boat and a load screen to the Exodar (and you can fly to Silvermoon, which you still can't do to the exodar). It was mostly minor things like these that favored the horde, nothing that was really gamebreaking in any way, and much of it has since been evened out. It's believed that most of the Devs play horde as their mains, though.
