Upcoming mount changes

- Regular land mounts trainable at level 20 (was 30)
- Epic land mounts trainable at level 40 (was 60)
- Regular flying mounts trainable at level 60 (was 70)
- Regular flying mounts speed increased to a 150% gain (was 60%)
This means that when you hit 60 you'll be able to fly around Hellfire and finish all those quests. Leveling from 60 to 68 is going to become easier and more relaxed. You'll hit Northrend much sooner with this change.

lucifer.cross Jun 10th 2009 9:20PM
What? No way. lol
Kadamon Jun 11th 2009 2:09AM
Even if a blue says it...I won't believe it until the patch hits.
Sithril Jun 11th 2009 2:14PM
Agreed. This is just stupid .
jfofla Jun 10th 2009 9:20PM
Maybe the whining for all chars to start at 55 will stop now.
Furiursa Jun 10th 2009 9:20PM
They need to give Druids their travel form earlier then, maybe around level 10? :P
Mortalcoil Jun 10th 2009 10:27PM
thats what i thought when they first made mounts at level 30
Robert Jun 10th 2009 10:35PM
No. Druid form=free. Isn't that enough?
yokumgang Jun 10th 2009 10:41PM
It's not free, it costs 60 silver before reputation!

travel form can be used in combat though
Cam Jun 11th 2009 2:13AM
Travel form is fine as it is. It'll still work as a in combat escape tool. Getting it at 10 would be great ofcourse but i doubt we'll se it happen.
Then again i would never have imagined that blizz would lower the level req for epic and flying mounts...
For me this patch just gets better and better. First we get new bear and cat forms, and then my priest get cheaper mounts (now i only need to get 710 g before the patch).
Eberron Jun 11th 2009 2:19AM
The PVP application of Travel Form does make a strong point to not change it.
Darn, tho. I'd love a lvl 10 travel form! ;)
Luke Jun 11th 2009 3:58PM
also in regard to druids, this mean we have a 60% land mount instant cast, flight form in azeroth, i believe. also that means that at 71 max land mount speed (100%) in azeroth, also as instant cast ;)
Durango Jun 10th 2009 9:22PM
cant wait for the few hundred threads full of people wanting the difference they had paid in the past
qoa Jun 11th 2009 12:03AM
I actually have one of every class above 70. So yeah what he said only with me saying it.
Raz Jun 11th 2009 3:08AM
Kind of how I feel about it, even though I have alts that will benefit from this change. 3 months worth of Quel'Danas dailies per character are not easily forgotten >.<
I could buy a motorcycle for each of my 80s if there was a refund (even though such a refund would completely destroy the already shaky Azerothian economy.) It's like buying a sports car for a shit-ton of money & seeing everyone driving one the next year, because all of the sudden they cost less than a Geo :p It stings, but if there's one thing non-pallies (-dks, -locks, -druids) know how to do, it's suck it up & run with it.
Deadly. Off. Topic. Jun 11th 2009 10:34AM
Well, considering that a bunch of people will have put a lot of time and effort into buying costly mounts of the past, it would only be fair to at least recongize that effort by those players.
Me personally, I wouldn't mind seeing a couple hundred gold being returned, but it's not like I know they'll do this. They never did it last time and they won't do it this time either.
Reuben Jun 11th 2009 12:21PM
If you buy a brand new television, and then two months from then the price drops, do you go barging into the store demanding the difference? Absolutely not.
This is no different.
kala Jun 11th 2009 1:41PM
Well, i dont want any compensation,
but i sure am bummed at the fact that i bought all my faction city-es epic mounts few weeks ago...

"If you buy a brand new television, and then two months from then the price drops, do you go barging into the store demanding the difference? Absolutely not."
Haha...remember when the iPhone came out and all the early adopters got pissed and demanded partial refunds when the price dropped a couple months later?
See...these things do happen in real life, too. (And it's just as stupid then...)
