Or make friends to give you enough gold to purchase a flying mount at 60 (3.2) and fly there from Honor Hold. Even without flying, epic ground means getting there fast and safely.

And how does one get to Honor Hold without going through the Dark Portal or getting a portal from a mage/summons from a lock to Shattrath? And surely your friends are more likely to give your a portal/summons than 600 gold?
