Sigh. Guns. There are some very nice bows for people doing 10 person progression in Ulduar.I really wish I could see one drop.

Bows are for races that can't be trusted with gunpowder.

I hate guns too.

I love my trusty Arrowsong bow. I prefer bows over guns, the shot sound over and over gets old quickly.

But guns go BOOM!! We Dwarfs love things that go *BOOM!*Kidding aside, I see your point. I've often wondered why we tend to see this back and forth between weapons. Maybe it's to get players to switch up and experience more of the game, I'm not entirely sure.

agreed...why so many guns blizz...some of us like bows

Your personal weapon preferences are meaningless to the raid leader. Your only concern is how fast the boss goes down. Your "fun" is meaningless to the raid leader and the 24 people carrying you to ilvl 226/232/239 loot. You optimize your DPS output or you do not deserve the title of raider. You are not your cute fluffy pets. You are not the weapon you fire with. You are a means to an end - a DPS class whose only purpose in raids is to do DPS. Otherwise, the door's that way.

Oh TEJ, you poor soul, not getting any enjoyment or even aesthetic pleasure out of the game-all you're worried about is having a higher number than me. My, how tiny it makes me feel! You're right-clearing the raids isn't as important as clearing it 5 minutes faster because of gear, and because of playing in a spec that I loathe. Not everyone is as lifeless and joyless as yourself. During BC we worked our way up to BT (pre patch 3 nerfs) without your silly minmaxing. So long as we were making progress, great. I had a hunter who set foot in SSC as his first raid, and it didn't matter to anyone because we got the job done (and I conveniently scored some loot to help out more next time) and enjoyed ourselves. You remind me of UT tournaments where I'd notice people with all of their graphics settings put down to the very bottom for those extra 2 or 3 fps and hated how it looked-but oh they had to prove "something" (I can't imagine what you think you're proving by obsessing over video game scoreboards).

Actually, I'm the raid leader for my guild. We are focused on 10 man progression, and on the cusp of getting Mimiron down (

So, TEJ. I'm curious how much this job of "raider" you speak of pays you, because it sounds like a really tough and strict workplace...Oh wait, it's not a job? You were talking about World of Warcraft, a GAME? Silly me, I wonder how I could have gotten that confused.:)
