I'm generally against stupid tattoos that you will regret when you hit 40, but on some certain level I can see WoW tattoos. WoW has been out for over 4 years, as long as most peoples college experience (ignoring those who move on for their Masters/PhD). Some people get tattoos to memorialize life-experiences, I have one memorializing college and all the experiences from that time.
Some people are REALLY into the game, and feel the same, so there is no problem really there.
WoW has been strangely influential to lots of people. People made friends through it, met their future SOs, wasted huge amounts of time in the fictional universe.
Really it is no dumber than the moron I once met with a Nike logo on her arm, or the legions of people with band names tattooed on them. Actually, it is probably more sensible.
I personally wouldn't mind getting a small horde tattoo (or the troll faction crest) someplace discreet. Its pretty low on my list of priorities though.
