The key point, is it is now or never.

When the next expansion comes out, if they don't give people the leg up, most of the playerbase will not see Icecrown Citadel, just like they did not see Sunwell or Naxxramas.

People have had fun in Naxx for a while. If they are struggling with Ulduar, they now have the leg up to complete it and start on the new Argent Raid.

The idea is, they are still progressing. People won't be going into Argent completely skipping Ulduar, or going into Ulduar completely skipping Naxx... They'll just be doing less farming than the rest of us did. Because there is NOT much time left in the expansion for farming old content in order to progress.

"It is now or never."
