You are right about the bandage and the Mend Pet... but the article does say

"This macro will yell out asking for a healer in your raid to heal your pet."

Heal your pet yourself. Using Mend Pet. And a bandage if you like. Just don't bloody yell it, say it or emote it first. Nobody except you cares that you are healing Fluffy.

Same goes for players who think anyone gives a shit that they are mounting up, making a campfire or eating some pie.
