I just noticed today that there were some leather shoulders that reused the Druids T8 model. I can't recall ever seeing a Tier model reuse before (except for arenas where it was intentional).

Actually, if you remember in SSC and TK there were quite a few models re-used from the Tier sets, like the Pauldrons of the Wardancer for example. (http://www.wowhead.com/?item=30053 - they're basically green T5)
This continued in Black Temple/Hyjal to some degree - the Helm of the Illidari Shatterer was a re-use of the Warrior T6 helm. (http://www.wowhead.com/?item=32373)

There are actually very few pieces of gear since BC that AREN'T just a recolored tier piece. Easy way to see it is to pick a tier piece on Wowhead and look at the "same model as" tab. Every tier since T5 has used the same models. Outside of weapons, shields, cloaks, and off-hands, there is no piece of non-set gear that has a unique model that I can think of.

Well, I just thought of a few memorable ones right after i hit the button, namely the Cloth and leather hats from Illidan, but the point stands. Tier models get re-used A LOT.

Yeah, T8 shoulders and gloves drop in Ulduar, but with different textures.
