Patch 3.2 PTR now live
The wait for the new content patch may have just gotten a little shorter! The files for Patch 3.2, Call of the Crusade, are now available for download from the official site (or any number of other mirrors, at this point), and the PTR realms are up.
MMO-Champion and a number of other sites have datamined information from the files, including new achievements, holidays, and names of the Coliseum bosses, which we've compiled for you.
We'll keep you updated with any new information we get regarding 3.2, including the current status of the PTR, as events warrant. Get psyched!
Patch 3.2 will bring about a new 5, 10, and 25 man instance to WoW, and usher in a new 40-man battleground called the Isle of Conquest. WoW.com will have you covered every step of the way, from extensive PTR coverage through the official live release. I wish people would stop spamming "When is 3.2 coming out?" in trade.

I love how all of the people who were crying about fighting the same 5 bosses in the same arena every week have to eat their words now. The bloody floor drops out and you're in a wonderful looking underground dungeon, probably similar to the big hole under IC.
Virtual high five to Blizzard for shuttiing the whiners up.
wow Jun 24th 2009 12:53AM
Regardless of the cool floor dropping affect, we are still fighting the same 5 bosses each week. What was your point again?
impurezero Jun 24th 2009 1:03AM
Don't all raids come down to fighting the same trash and bosses each week hoping to get further each week? So really, the difference that was pissing people off about this one was the perceived laziness of having it all take place in one room. If the room keeps changing in interesting ways, though, that actually may very well satisfy people.
(Note: I haven't seen it, so I don't know how creative it is...I'm just saying is all.)
Backspace Jun 24th 2009 1:10AM
I doubt it's only 5 bosses, Blizzard tricked us with the boring sounding "the whole instance is just one room" thing. I can see them being just as deceptive about who we'll be fighting.
And it's spelled "effect"

Is this the rumored nerubian raid? Damn, I hope so.

First download the 3.0.1.8874-PTR-US-Installer-downloader.exe file from the PTR Download page.
Then go to the Folder to which you installed it to (3.0.1.8874 US PTR Installer folder), and click the Blizzard Updater.exe file.
After that finishes, use the Launcher to update the Launcher to the current form.
After this is finished, go directly to the WoW PTR Folder and open wow.exe directly, which skips using the Launcher for now.
Log in, and you should get a patch update requirement and an option to Restart the game. Once you do so, you'll have downloaded the 0.2.0 file. (PTR designation for 3.2)
After it opens you'll start downloading a 1.15GB Patch file and be on your way to playing the PTR!

nice and clear, thanks. Oddly roundabout mind you
Rakah Jun 24th 2009 4:35AM
note for people people battle.net accounts it may be that you have to use your OLD login and password.
For those that get a "CANNOT APPLY PATCH" error simply put "a" in both user and password field

Can I get a link to one of the mirrors? for some reason blizzard's downloader for me is all give and no take. 11 hours is an unacceptable estimate
impurezero Jun 24th 2009 1:10AM
Would any of you kind people who are actually testing this out be able to tell me if the Armored Brown Bear in Dalaran has changed prices at all? Or is it still 750g?
josh Jun 24th 2009 1:19AM
Once the patch is downloaded and installed, I'll check for you :)
impurezero Jun 24th 2009 1:47AM
Thank you very much. :)
Thetealone Jun 24th 2009 3:50AM
Still 750g ... sorry :\
