Why do you make a article about the midsummerfest into another one about the upcomming patch?
Hasn't there already been enough qq about stuff that doesn't even have made it to the testrealms let alone life?
About the bugfixes on midsummer festival: Should have happened before sunday but better late then never.
Luckely i finished most of it so not much has been reset ^^
WoWie Zowie Jun 23rd 2009 7:14AM
does this mean i have to spend my fire blossoms now?
micgillam Jun 23rd 2009 12:43PM
I don't think so. I would read this as "you may have to honor/desecrate fires again that you already got, if you've started but not completed the achievements".
Jarett Jun 23rd 2009 7:15AM
The issue with the midsummer fest, that's not resetting completed achievements though, right? Only partially completed?
Elry Jun 23rd 2009 10:54AM
I completed the "A Thief's Reward" quest the day before this fix, and then after it I was able to hand it in again (the final part of the quest, without stealing the flames again) and receive a second crown and 13g for absolutely nothing :)
Elry Jun 23rd 2009 10:55AM
Oh and I meant to say, it didn't reset my King of the Fire Festival achievement, just let me get a 2nd crown for no good reason
Otto von Ultima Jun 23rd 2009 7:27AM
Most of the players affected by the Midsummer resets are laughing all the way to the bank - they are literally making hundreds and hundreds of gold. Lucky for some, extremely annoying for others trying to scrape together the blossoms for the clothing and coming up a long way short.
Stomy Jun 23rd 2009 7:30AM
if you have done all the fores you have more than enufe for the cloths, in fact i had about 100 left over after the achievement.
Stomy Jun 23rd 2009 7:35AM
also if you wait and buy the shoulders last do the dance then turn around and sell the shoulders back! that's another 100 right their. can't sell the chest or the boots i think it's because of the USE ability of them...
Kaorael Jun 23rd 2009 7:38AM
For me the reset has been a blessing, I had already done all the quests this year and bought the clothes, with some 200 blossoms left, and now I can do them again and get enough blossoms to get the pet and probably even the brazier.
TobiasX Jun 23rd 2009 7:39AM
"The Crusader's Coliseum is coming. It will include 4 separate raid dungeons, a 5 man dungeon, and some other interesting features and cool bosses."
1 raid dungeon. 1 5 man dungeon. The fact that you can do 4 different versions of the raid doesn't mean it's 4 raid dungeons, and they're anything but separate.
It's a technicality, but an important one.
MIrina Jun 23rd 2009 8:28AM
Hmm...so if I've completed all the fires, does this mean I can still go hit all the fires again? That's some REALLY easy gold and I'm really bored with leveling alts...
Netherscourge Jun 23rd 2009 8:28AM
So wait....
If I already completed the Fire Warden achievement, then it wont affect me right?
Or do I have to go back and do the whole thing over again?
OR will it be completed for me AND I can run around getting more free blossoms if I wanted to, to get the non-combat pets faster?
Right now, the only way I can get more blossoms is the 2 dailies. I'd like to be able get both pets if possible.
I hope they reset the whole thing and let me keep my achievement.
Erogroth Jun 23rd 2009 10:47AM
Then your in luck cause thats exactly what happened. All they did was make the quests available again. So you can get twice as much gold and fire blossems.
micgillam Jun 23rd 2009 12:46PM
Two pets? Smack me if I'm wrong, but I think it's one pet and one "novelty item".
Aaron Jun 23rd 2009 8:51AM
It's not all that bad, kinda wish I did them all on my alts before the hotfix so I could do it all again for even more exp and gold, would have probably made 10k easy.
Rob Jun 23rd 2009 10:31AM
Well this just blows; I was about half done with most of the fire achievements. I really doubt i'll have time to repeat it all (nor do I want to). This is one of the few instances where blizz really screwed me over.
The gold aspect; you are kidding right? While you are wasting all that time running hither and yon, you could be making 3x or 4x more with dailies or much much more by professions. When i was running around doing this, my gold intake was only 50g an hour, which is just terrible for an 80. Yes, its easy, but its also boring.
Nor is this an effective way to level alts. The XP/hour was 3x or 4 less than what i was making by just leveling in a appropriate zone.
This is great for explorers, but many of us aren't.
Erogroth Jun 23rd 2009 10:44AM
On sunday I finished all the horde flames in Kaldimor and all but 1 alliance Flame and I finished everything in Eastern Kingdom. When they did the reset I did not loose credit for anything I had done. Last night I went and got the last alliance flame I needed. Plus I am not able to go redo all those flames again for more gold and blossems so I can buy both the pet and the dancing flame now. So this bug fixed worked out great for me!
Todd Jun 23rd 2009 11:03AM
I'm disappointed that no achievements were added for the Northrend fires. The fires exist, but why no achievement for them? Lame.
Stomy Jun 23rd 2009 4:36PM
You know I really don't like saying that someone’s work is below par, but I have a 80 Lock, a 80 Shaman, and a 80 Druid and for my Druid and Shaman my questions are answered before I know I have a question. Whether it be gear question, or updates to my spells and/or abilities, or hey this boss in "a high level dungeon that he's not been in" dose this or is weak to that I’ve never be blind sighted by anything. Really I’d love to give writing a column for locks a shot I’ve been playing a lock since vanilla Wow and I’m pretty knowledgeable about the class lol
