One Boss Leaves: Chrono-Lord Epoch stops time for Volkhan

It was indeed the day that time stood still: Chrono-Lord Epoch (The Culling of Stratholme) shattered the Halls of Lightning's Volkhan in this week's Two Bosses Enter deathmatch. "Honestly, Chrono-Lord Epoch should be able to destroy pretty much any boss in the game," observed kabshiel. "He can stop time, for Pete's sake! All Volkhan does is make little robots and break them. Manipulating the space-time continuum > Toy making."
The only dissenting opinion this week came from Kar On E: "Although it's pretty obvious at this point that Chrono-Lord Epoch is going to win, I'm going to make the case for Volkhan. In this, I'm presuming that neither has read any strategy on the other and that each is going about it on wits alone."

"Freezing time. Epoch quickly dispatches each of these golems and turns back to Volkhan, who makes another set and attacks again. Though the Chrono-Lord has once again regained the upper hand, he does not want to give Volkhan a chance to get back into the fight. So he freezes time again and dispatches of the golems, laughing the whole time about how funny Volkhan looks with one foot in the air. And as time resumes, Volkhan's foot comes back down, Shattering all of the golems around Epoch, whom in his arrogance had not noticed the kamikaze golem strategy. Epoch is down ... and Volkhan advances.
"As an aside, I know that one of the prevailing arguments is that Epoch can go back in time and make sure that Volkhan never existed, but I don't think he's smart enough to use it properly. If he were, then he would have evacuated Stratholme or taken out Arthas' lineage or something like ... at least something smarter than attacking Arthas when he did."
That's a thought!

I like this one "I'm going to make the case for Volkhan. In this, I'm presuming that neither has read any strategy on the other and that each is going about it on wits alone."
Could you imagine either of these two sitting down in front of a PC? Or would one of them be using a Mac?

"The armies of Iron will conquer all!"
"... and I'm a Mac. Hey PC, you look a bit upset. What's up?"
"All my work... undone!"
etc etc etc

oh, so many bullshits...

If you dont believe - dont attack Epoch, just wait till duel Chronolord and Arthas ends. If Arthas would have 5 year, he would be still win with help of 5 players.

"whom in his arrogance had not noticed the kamikaze golem strategy"
You have eyes, BUT YOU DO NOT SEE!!!!!
The point was that being overconfident kills.
"They aren't a threat. Hahah...WTF?! AAAAEEEEEIIIIII!!!!!!!!"

It's because everyone loves Arthas.

I voted for Volkhan on this one. While Epoch can stop time, he's not powerful enough to keep it stopped, and it certainly never suggests that he has the ability to go back in time himself. We usually encounter the infinite flight emerging from portals, much like we do, and we don't bend time. In fact, it could be that the one pulling the strings for the infinite flight is the only one capable of actually going back in time. Anyway, Epoch stops time for seconds. That's enough for lesser oponents, but Volkhan is a flame giant who can craft an army of golems in moments. Furthermore, while Volkhan doesn't look very smart, he exercises strategy with his use of golems, while Epoch charges into the fight with caution to the wind. Despite who may in fact be the largest threat, Epoch periodically likes to slow time to allow him to hit everybody he's fighting. Which if makes the golems a shield for Volkhan.
Epoch has the skills, for sure, if he used his stop time ability to help him "stick and move" he'd win, but as it is, he uses it more for the joy of infliciting pain to as many oponents as possible. Volkhan would see that and use that to his advantage. In my opinion Volkhan is the clear winner of this fight, not Epoch.
