Breakfast Topic: Create-your-own titles
The other day, I was giving away a loot card code over on our Twitter account (as I tend to do -- are you following us over there yet?), and I asked people to send along suggestions for the titles they wanted to have in game. Mine is "the Noob" (for obvious reasons), but there were some really excellent ones in the mix: The Legend, The Fashionable, The Bounty Hunter, Banker (very practical, I agree), and my favorite suggestion, The Dying, for any character that dies at least 1,000 times. We've actually asked this question in a Breakfast Topic before, but it was last year, when titles were still pretty hard to come by (nowadays, everyone's got at least one, right?). So let us hear them: if you could have any title you wanted, which would you choose?
And remember, Blizzard's listening: they've already put one fan-suggested title in the game, so who knows. Maybe the one you suggest in this thread will eventually be right above your character's head.

Rather then Dying how's about the unhealable. dying on single boss 1000 times.
Been wanting that for quite some time:)

I have always liked the Race specific titles so Champion or Defender of Elune would be the title I would most likely never unselect.

Funny you should mention "Banker".
I have a level three gnome bank alt named Jambles, (A Noble).
The guild bank he has is part of the guild, so his total name is:
Jambles the Noble
Pretty slick eh?

Seems when I put things in guild brackets < > the site doesn't like it.
The guild is called Banker.

FOR YOU AND EVERYONE ELSE -
How to put a word/phrase in <brackets> without the site thinking that it's HTML markup:
1. Before your word/phrase, type "<"
2. Type your word/phrase
3. After your word/phrase, type ">"
(Note: type these without the quotation marks.)
Voila!

I would like to see military rank titles, based on honorable kills count for example.
willowbrae Jun 27th 2009 8:17AM
Kill 100,000 players from other faction and you will get "of the Horde" or "or the Alliance" title.
Arcaria Jun 27th 2009 8:57AM
We already have that if you played before BC came out.

I would like to see those titles return, or perhaps a new set of rank titles based on overall PVP achievements. For example, if you have 10% of the possible PVP achievement points, you get the entry title, up to some crazy title for those with 95% plus. Having a title for 100% completion might be a little much, but hell, might as well.

I still have the Master Sergeant title on my pala.. and the Corporal title on my Warrior. Although since the elder and of Stormwind titles the old pvp ones are pretty un-used. I would like to see them return in pvp achievements though.

Those titles (and I treasure my Knight Lieutennacy) date from the days when battlegrounds were actually battlegrounds with secondar objectives that actually could make a difference in victory, when AV battles could run literally days before resolution. To reinstitute them in these days of overgeared zergfests (strategy? what's that?) would not befit them at all.

I am relatively new player (started at the end of TBC), so I couldn't get any of the military titles and also I don't understand why half of the server can run with these and the new players are denied.
Military titles are the only ones I see fitting for a PvP maniac like myself and it's truly sad to know that it's impossible to get even the "private" rank.
All the titles I have and can get only shows my PvE progress. It does not show that I don't care about PvE and that if you're a horde lackey, you should be preparing for battle the moment you see me.

Take "the Undying" or "the Immortal" to the next level
the Invincible
Complete every raid encounter and every heroic dungeon without a single party death in a single lockout period.
FantomRedux Jun 27th 2009 6:10PM
They'd never do this, for the simple fact that if lots of people go for it then end up hospitalised due to malnutrition or something else related to not taking care of yourself for an extended period of time. Oh, and before "only idiots would do that", people are idiots.

I'd love to see class-based titles, something you get after soloing an epic questline that's specifically designed for your class. Perhaps there could be three titles, one for each spec - Mage titles could be "the Arcanist," "Master of Flame," and "Lord/Lady of Ice," for example. I'd love for my hunter to be known as "Beastmaster."
Noid Jun 27th 2009 8:20AM
'Avoid The' is still the best.
I would be 'Avoid The Noid'
BoneRomancer Jun 27th 2009 8:20AM
"the Everliving" is one I have always wanted for my Shaman.
Kylenne Jun 27th 2009 10:03AM
Is your shammy named Mumm-ra? ;)
Deadly. Off. Topic. Jun 29th 2009 11:36AM
lol, I thought the same thing too.
DarkRa Jun 27th 2009 9:36AM
They should really put an achievement about gathering titles (like the ones about tabards, reputations etc) and at the last tier reward title "of the many names"
