We featured the previous installment of Baron Soosdon's PvE movie series back in December 2008. Now, seven months later, the good Baron has releasedRaid Together, Die Alone 3. The video is a series of clips, raid fights, and other moments blended together against the backdrop of Soosdon's usual good taste in music. The good Baron warns that an absolute ton of murlocs were harmed in the process of making the video, though I'll be darned if I could find them.
Ultimately, this new Raid Together, Die Alone is another fun memoir video. It brings back memories of slamming our faces into Illidan Stormrage and the epic awesome that is the Eye of Eternity's unique setting. As WoW progresses forward with new content and new bosses, it's easy to forget to look back and fondly remember some of the things we've already done together. I think Raid Together, Die Alone is a fun scrapbook of WoW-to-date, and I'm thankful for the reminder.

This is actually one of my favorites! The mix of sped up, normal speed, and stills makes the video extremely excited. Baron, you've done it again! You've been playing around with after effects! The depth of field you've created on some of those shots is awesome. keep em coming
ah, i guess all of that blurring is possible in photoshop, i don't use it much (to my own detriment). I've always wondered, why do all you machina makers use Vegas? Within the industry Final Cut and Avid get the most use, with the gold star going to avid, and Premiere has a slight stigma surrounding it due to horrible "ease of use" in the mid 90's (i think it's all gone now and starting to get more use), but I've literally never heard anyone talk about Vegas.. so what does it offer that others don't? or is it just easier to get a hold of a copy?
Yeah, I'm really interested in how you got the depth into the pictures. It's blurring to create focus but what tools did you use to get the desired effects?

The good Baron has exceeded expectations yet again with this wonderful collage of video fragments and excellently timed musical cues.

Kinda made me think about the how-to-paladin-series. Awesome video anyway.

I'm so glad I watched that simply because now I know that Prodigy has a new album!

I have been playing with AE, yes - but I've not used it for this movie at all :)
Everything was done with Vegas and Photoshop (still image enhancements).

I really don't know why it's Vegas. I got to know the program by just seeing it in some movies credits, I tried it and I liked it.
For the basic machinima it has all the things you need - chroma keying, easy to add text features etc.
