Patch 3.2: Argent Coliseum 5-man story and encounters, Pt. 3

Tirion's next challenge is to pit you against the familiar faces of the opposite faction's city Champions!
Horde players will fight:
Ambrose Boltspark (Gnome, class unknown)
Colosos (Draenei, likely paladin)
Lana Stouthammer (Dwarf paladin)
Marshal Jacob Alerius (Human, likely warrior)
Jaelyne Evensong (Night elf, so of course she's either a hunter or druid)
Alliance players will fight:
Deathstalker Visceri (Forsaken rogue)
Eressea Dawnsinger (Blood elf paladin)
Mokra the Skullcrusher (Orc warrior)
Runok Wildmane (Tauren druid)
Zul'tore (Troll shaman)
I unfortunately don't really have information on what spells or abilities the other faction's champions will use. They're likely to be beefed-up versions of existing class abilities, though, given some suspect entries in the spell list.
After you take down the Champions, an old acquaintance from the Tournament crashes the party.
THE BLACK KNIGHT
The Black Knight: You spoiled my grand entrance, rat. Did you honestly think that an agent of the Lich King would be bested on the field of your...pathetic little tournament? I've come to finish my task.
Hey, it's that guy! I'm not sure who he's talking to at the beginning, there -- it may be the herald or it may be a Silver Covenant or Sunreaver rep. The reason I bring those up is because of the following spells:
Raise Dead Arelas Brightstar (Silver Covenant)
Raise Dead Jaeren Sunsworn (Sunreaver)
It's possible that he raises either as a ghoul during the fight. He appears to use a number of stock DK abilities, like Blood Strike, Plague Strike, and Obliterate. In absence of a full list of moves, though, here are some interesting voice clips:
The Black Knight: My rotting flesh was just getting in the way! (this clip is marked as SkeletonRes.)
The Black Knight: I don't need bones to best you! (this clip is marked as GhostRes.)
So it appears that first you beat him so hard he resurrects as a skeleton, and then in phase 3 he resurrects as a ghost. He's pretty dedicated! And this voice clip upon defeat sounds downright miserable:
The Black Knight: I must not fail...again...
That's the end of this roundup -- the next article will be a rundown of what we (and I) know about the Coliseum raid encounters.
Patch 3.2 will bring about a new 5, 10, and 25 man instance to WoW, and usher in a new 40-man battleground called the Isle of Conquest. Thrall fails at keeping Garrosh in check. Why is he taking him everywhere with him?
Kemikalkadet Jun 30th 2009 11:18AM
Yeah i'd /gkick if i were Thrall.
Zalvi Jun 30th 2009 11:20AM
cause he's thrall's bitch

Something about "keep your friends close and your enemies closer" sort of thing. That's why Saurfang's watching over his shoulder in the Tundra. Garrosh is like an angry dog. Have to keep a short leash on him before he does something stupid and Tirion has to kill him. Wouldn't be good for Horde/Alliance relations and Thrall would look even weaker to his own supporters for not putting Garrosh down himself.
Panduh Jun 30th 2009 11:23AM
lol @Kemikalkadet

I hope Thrall doesn't forget he said this:
Of course, Tirion. I apologize for his outburst. It will _not_ happen again.
But, it seems one of the battles in the raid dungeon for the Alliance will be Garrosh, and he does have a death sound: Sound\Creature\Garrosh\CR_Garrosh_Death02.wav

I can't wait for Garrosh to either A) attempt a coup and get put down by Saurfang, or B) attempt to one-shot the Lich King ala Saurfang-the-Younger, get dead, and then be raised as a boss we have to fight in Icecrown Citadel.
Anything that equals his death is a good thing.

I like your way of thinking.
Extrox Jun 30th 2009 12:09PM
I hope Varian and Garrosh take each other out for good.
If they wanted to put the "War" back in warcraft, they could have done so with much better ways. Their (Variand and Garrosh) current attitudes just remind me of a normal, annoying, monday night nerdrage fest in Trade Chat. It's really not dramatic, it's really not fun to watch, it's more of an annoyance than anything.
Arcaria Jun 30th 2009 1:33PM
True Extrox but at least we can leave trade.

heroic Hogger??!!!?!??!!??!!!!!?!?!?!?!!?!!
WOOOO-HOOOOO!
Ian R. (Orkchop) Jun 30th 2009 12:00PM
But is there also Heroic Mankirk's Wife?
Schadenfreude Jun 30th 2009 10:16PM
I desperately wanted Mankrik's Wife to come back as a death knight.
Zara Frostrage
or something.
Ullaana Jun 30th 2009 11:28AM
Since Garrosh only respects strength, I hope that Thrall beats him to a bloody pulp at some point. Then when Garrosh finally shows him respect, Thrall sends him to the beyond.
mrderekt Jun 30th 2009 1:39PM
Sorry... Garrosh>Thrall in one on one. Which I think is part of the problem.
They dueled just before WOTLK.
