What is up with this frequently touted myth of region-specific codes?
The cards sold in the EU come off the exact same "assembly line" as the cards sold in the US and everywhere else...
There are no limits to where dealers are allowed to sell the cards, or where customers can buy them (I've bought boxes of cards from all over the world on eBay, from the US to Germany and Hong Kong), which would have lead to a LOT of inconveniences for the end customer, if there was any truth to this myth.
I've heard it spun both ways - US codes not useable in the EU, EU codes not useable in the US - None of it is true.
It's the same cards, and therefore the same codes. You can use the code on any server you like, no matter where you got the code/card.

It's simple, it's all about regions. Because the T and I are based in Europe, we deal with Upper Deck International here in the UK. It's not about whether EU or US people can use the cards, it's about the competition itself and Upper Deck International have asked that these cards be given away in a competition specifically for European readers.

Lesley:
The problem is that you are causing confusion among people who want to puchase the cards in the online market. It would be much better to simply say that these were special codes, not from the actual cards, but created just for the specific realms in question only.
That way people won't come away from reading your article, with the assumption that the cards are also limited to specific realms.

The ogre pinata is quite cool, and I've had more fun than should be allowed with the pink gumballs.
