Around Azeroth: Unnatural predation
Long, long ago (college) in a galaxy far, far away (Wisconsin), my best friend and I came up with an interesting thought experiment. We would build an open-plan zoo, with plenty of different environments but no barriers between the exhibits. All the animals would be allowed to mingle, and we would let the food chain take its course. Who would be the true king of predators, the tiger or the polar bear? Could piranhas devour dolphins? And would a colony of fire ants be able to defeat a nest of killer bees? These are the sort of things you think about when you're a political science major, while the engineering and science students are busy learning useful things that will make them money. Soterios of <Better Than You> on Hydraxis has solved at least one of these hypothetical questions -- panthers will always defeat penguins. But what about penguins armed with assault rifles versus panthers with chainsaws?
Do you have any unusual, beautiful or interesting World of Warcraft images that are just collecting dust in your screenshots folder? We'd love to see them on Around Azeroth! Sharing your screenshot is as simple as e-mailing aroundazeroth@gmail.com with a copy of your shot and a brief explanation of the scene. You could be featured here next!
Remember to include your player name, server and/or guild if you want it mentioned. Please include the word "Azeroth" in your post so it does not get swept into the spam bin. We strongly prefer full screen shots without the UI showing -- use alt-Z to remove it. Please, no more battleground scoreboards, gold seller ads, or pictures of the Ninja Turtles in Dalaran.

I like! Is it just me or does that penguin looks downright evil?
This is likely to be the last Around Azeroth with the old druid froms.

Where's Oswald Cobblepot and Selina Kyle?

I'd pay solid gold for the option to change my druid's aquatic form into a penguin or a Northrend sealion.

Penguins with assault rifles will always win. I mean come on. Look at the penguin! He has that look in his eye and you know he's packing heat.

@Elizabeth: You've failed to notice, as Soterios did, that Super Penguin has just thoroughly owned that poor night elf druid (by stamping on its head / neck). That's why it isn't able to move and eat that delicious penguin.
I feel sorry for the druid; I really do.

Funny thing, just some days ago I heard of a project in German zoos to have bears and wolves in the same yet large enclosure, the latest zoo trying this being the Berlin one.

Interesting scenarios with the dolphins versus piranhas and whatnot - although I would have thought this belonging more to the realms of thought of seven-year-olds than college and university students!
Of course, when it comes to any terrestrial animal vs. murlocs, the murlocs would be sure to win. Even if you wipe them all out, five minutes later they've simply respawned again anyway and start netting you, shooting ink in your eyes and send lightning bolts up your butt. :P

I wonder what Pengu would taste like >.> He looks too evil to be tasty.

Oooh, you (the author) are from Eau Claire too! I never noticed that Around Azeroth was brought to us by a fellow Eau C-er until you mentioned Wisconsin. That's awesome. :)

I know its a different game... but we have tried this in Zoo Tycoon II... not a good business model; the visitors don't like being chased and it gets to be expensive to replace all those emus.
