July's Brew of the Month: Stranglethorn Brew

It's July 1st, which means you can head out to Nagrand and pick up your free gems the nearest mailbox and pick up this month's brew, assuming you have a Brew of the Month membership! This month we have the Stranglethorn Brew, which is certainly more interesting than the various "teehee you farted/burped/barfed/burped again" brews. Upon drinking the Stranglethorn Brew, you get a buff called Jungle Madness! Exclamation point included. It causes your character to hallucinate for awhile, and be attacked by spectral Jungle Gnomes. If you don't have a Brew of the Month membership, you can watch a video from Wowhead poster VBub that shows the brew in action at the end of this post. Just click the 'read more' link at the bottom.
Assuming they don't change the brews for next year, our beertastic journey will be coming to an end pretty soon. There's only one brew left that we haven't seen, which is the Draenic Pale Ale. After that, we're back to the Binary Brew unless they decide to put out a whole new batch of 12 brews, and I somehow doubt that will happen. Is anybody else hoping the Draenic Pale Ale is truly epic, considering it marks the entire year we've been drinking these crazy things?

Its like all the ganked goblins and gnomes killed in Stranglethorn are rising up to take vengeance upon you if you drink it...

Definitely one of the better brews.
And I don't know if it's all that likely that they'd create another year of brews, but I doubt it would be that hard for them to do so. They're going to need to change up the holidays each year anyway, to keep players doing them, or we're going to see a steep decline in participation, starting with Brewfest 2009, when the first crop of people get their violet proto-drakes.

I love these crazy little gnomes! I hope something like them actually pops up in a quest chain someday.

It's not like they put THAT much thought into these brews anyway :) Should be easy and cool to whip up 12 new ones, and leave all 12 old ones up for purchase anytime!

As a Gnome, I find that highly disturbing. :(

Now you know how the other nine races feel. :P

Man, I missed out.
I just chugged it and ran to my instance... No gnomes there!
:-(

Too bad those of us who started the BotM club last brewfest didn't get credit for the brews drunk before Bliz started tracking. Means I have to do the ram racing again on a worse connection to get the ones I got no credit for.
As for the crossed out comment about the gems, I find it worth picking up and auctioning. Lower level JCs need them

They can't do new brews without changing the achievement, since the current achievement requires Binary Brew, which no one could get done as they were gone by the time the achievements went in.
But... Brew of the Month II would be awesome, since *more* drinks with new effects would be awesome.

You could get credit for Binary Brew if you had gotten one at the end of the event and waited to drink it until the achievements went into effect. I think there was a 3 or 4 day cushion there before the drink would expire. I am hoping that my membership will not expire until the event starts again in late September, that way I will get another Binary Brew at the start of September and get the achievement done.
