We tried having the tank cleanse himself with Steelbreaker but we found that it's quite hard because of the GCDs - the tank has to stop generating aggro to spam Cleanse, and a mage or hunter could easily pull the boss off the tank during this. Besides, if you make a mistake and end up on a GCD when you get fusion punched, you're dead. We found that using a Paladin DPS to cleanse the tank work wonders, as they tend to have a GCD or two spare as it is.

When doing the hard mode, we had the MT (me :D) tank both Steelbreaker and Molgiem at the front of the room, taking down Molgiem first. Once he's dead all dps switch to the little guy at the back leaving me and a healer alone with Steelbreaker. At this point it's easy enough for the tank to cleanse himself, as no one is generating aggro on the boss.
