You're kidding me, right? Blizz is responding to customer desires by providing a highly-desired ability to move one's gameplay from one faction to the other, and you're even the slightest bit concerned with *the lore*?? Bah! Meaningless! But if you MUST have some kind of explanation, use this: the Lich King/Burning Legion/Elder Gods/Dastardly Goblens (take your pick), in an effort to crush the life out of resistance on Azeroth, magically/technologically/accidentally sent a team back in time to kill Sarah Con-- I mean, certain important historical figures/races/populations, and in the process wreck the timeline. But lo and behold, Time is a bitch, y'know, and isn't so easily thwarted, so instead of being able to make you incarnate as a , you turned out to be a , which happens to be in the other faction. So instead of your mother being a long-ear/space goat/gnome (what else need I do with that term, I ask?), your mother had horns/protruding tusks/missing elbows. End of story. Be off with ye, now.Insofar as the migrated rep, mounts, achievements, etc... IMHO, migrate the mounts but not the rep. Make the newly minted Hordie do it the old fashioned way: EARN it. The achievements? Screw 'em. Make a new meta achievement for someone to get Exalted with all 10 races. Another for "The Truly Insane", who do all the quests in all zones. Oh, and one for the pet-addicted. Gotta have that, of course. (/facepalm)
