It came from the Blog: We flamed the Eastern Kingdoms

The lowbie event honored all of the flames from Falconwing Square to Hammerfall, with a couple of desecrations on the side. The mounted event took to the flightpaths and completed the Flame Keeper of Eastern Kingdoms achievement. I also got the unofficial achievement for running into every fence along the way. Running + typing = hard.
A pictorial journal of our fun is in the gallery below. And I used the wow.com addon to upload my activity for the event. I wish I had used the in-game blog feature to annotate it, but I will next time. If you use the addon to upload your It came from the Blog activity, it will show up in the guild log as well.
I'm thinking of trying video for future events. Maybe Turpster can give me some pointers. Allison does a good job with her videos, too. Would you watch It came from the Blog videos?

Running into fences isn't that hard anyway, especially as a Tauren/on a large mount, I often get stuck at obstacles I didn't even see. And with the WoW colision system, sometimes strafing didn't help, I had to actually take a step back to go around the obstacle...

i'm pretty sure if u make a video people will watch it, if find xfire's ingame video capture quick and easy to use but hey guess it's up to you to decide what you want to do the i think wot your doing is quite fine

To bad you guys didn't go and get the flames from Iron Forge and Stormwind. Exodar would have been easy as Darnassus.

Lunar Fest was great fun, but unfortunately I missed this one because my guild had a flame raid of their own scheduled for the exact same time.

Running while typing ain't that hard. Just press Num Lock, type normally and in the meantime steer clear of obstacles with the arrow keys.
Typing while fighting... now that should be an achievement.

Zangar is my home server, so it was cool to see some Icftb members hanging out in Silvermoon when I took an alt in to steal the flame.
They must have been napping though because they left me alone. :0

How long did it take you guys? I did my own flaming through EK last night, took about 4 hours, getting the exploration achievement and the UC/SMC flames as well. Gonna head through Kalimdor and maybe Outlands today, hopefully I can get a group for Ahune before it all ends Sunday... Sucks that I just resubscribed a few days ago!

It was a blast, and I am also going to leave my new DK there for future events and a brief rest from my mains when I want to mess about with DK Frost tanking. See you all whenever!
